question re: France and UK pavilion music

Hello: long time lurker, first time poster.

I am hoping someone in the WDWMagic community will be able to help out with a question I have:

Can someone confirm for me whether the France and United Kingdom pavilions have BOTH interior and exterior music loops?

As I understand, when EPCOT Center opened in 1982, there were different interior and exterior loops for most of the World Showcase pavilions. The exterior loops were generally shorter than the interior loops, though composed of similiar sounding tracks. Is this still the case? I have recently heard that both the UK and France pavilions now only use the exterior loop of music for their entire pavilions.

If anyone can confirm either way, I would tremendously appreciate it.

I don't know about this particular question...

But on the subject of World Showcase music loops... I just discovered last week a CD that is used, either fully or partially, in the Italian pavilion music loop. Link.

And for everybody else's reference, the currently-known loops can be viewed:

UK
France

SirNim: Do you know what tracks by chance caught your attention as possibly being part of the loop? Did you hear them inside a building in the pavilion or outside, in the Italy area? Any additional help is appreciated!

The story goes: I discovered the CD in my grandfather's collection. I listened to it, and then I thought that some of the songs sounded similar to the kind of music that is played at Epcot Italian pavilion. So, to investigate, I went on YouTube and searched for videos. I found a few:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0onG9Fp53yU
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEruaB94xAk
When I heard the background music in these YouTube videos, I said - hey, these do sound like the CD. So I played the CD and the videos together, simultaneously, and the instruments and the songs matched perfectly... They may be used out of order in the pavilion music loop - and the music loop may have additional songs from different sources thrown in ... but that CD that I found is certainly one of the more important and most-used sources in the music loop. :) I would guesstimate that most of the songs on the CD are played somewhere, sometime, in the Italian pavilion--- probably the whole CD.

SirNim: Thanks for the information and looking up the videos. Do you know if this music is used all the time or just when Sergio is performing? Is it just used in the exterior parts of the pavilion?

Again, I appreciate the information and will check out the disc.

I am not sure about whether the music is only for the live performances. The video I posted that is not just the live performance has music from the CD playing in the background... so I would speculate that the loop is played constantly, including during the live performances. I don't think any of the videos I found were taken indoors and had discernible music playing in the background -- so if there is a separate, second, indoor music loop, I have no idea if this CD is used for it. But...at least sometimes...at least during the live performances...they play songs from that CD outdoors at the pavilion.

Wedroy1923: I have the Sergio loop that I can share with you (so you can do the proper comparisons). Next time you see me on AIM, ask me for it. I always assumed this loop was needle drop. But I am almost positive the normal loop is not.
