Bounce back Offers????

We were at POFQ on 8/14 and had a bounceback offer in our room. It was 30% off values and moderates and 40% of villas, if I remember correctly. We are going in November under the bounceback program.

The current bouceback is for free dining Aug 23-Oct 1, 2009. You should have a flier in your room if not call 407-541-5515 x8844 before you check out!

Hello, Do you know which of the dining plans is being offered for the 2009 bounceback? MikeB
I do not know for sure but if it mirrors the current UK free dining offer it will depend on your room category. Value and moderates were getting the CS plan and deluxe's were getting the regular dinning plan.

Oooooh that's sneaky, so if you have the free dining plan this year with counter service you might not get that level of free dining again next year if you stick with a value or moderate?

Well, it's no matter for me because we are not going for free dining. I am thinking next year we may not do the dining plan because it is really starting to hit that cusp for us of not being worth it.

I am going to throw another bounce back question out there for you all. We are going in early December. When you get a bounce back offer is it usually for the same time of the year or could it be for a different time. We are thinking if we get a good rate that we would like to go back in February (early Feb., not during President's Day time frame). Would that ever be a possiblity?

Here's my question. When you book the bounce back offer...does the 2009 reservation HAVE to be in the person's name who booked the 2008 room?

Example: I'm staying w/a friend next month and the room is in her name, would she be the only one able to take advantage of the offer or could I book in my name?

I believe you can make a Bounceback reservation as long as you're listed as one of the registered guests on the current reservation. It doesn't have to be in the current primary Guest's name.

I'm starting to wonder if they only plan to offer the CS version to foreign travelors while offering the regular DP to domestic tourists. The point of the free dining plan is to offer an incentive to travel to WDW during the least crowded time of the year...with the US Dollar as weak as it is, and the Pound and the Euro much stronger (though believe they are starting to weaken), there is less incentive to offer it to foreign tourists since they are still more likely to travel than Americans are...so they don't really need the extra incentive. Just a thought.

Ive been wondering (hoping!) that they will offer free dining to the general public next year for around the same time as the past couple years.

Does anyone think this is a good sign that they will offer it again?

Getting the DDP free is the only way I will use it, if I have to pay I can save way more on my own. We are going to book our Sept. 09 trip in a couple months, and I am going to watch the web like a hawk until they announce free dining for the rest of us.
