Ahh, brings back memories of an era gone past. I have fond memories (as a pre-teen and teen) dining on the Empress Lilly and the Village Restaurant at the Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village / WDW Village.
For some strange reason, in early 1982 I even saw "The Catch" between Joe Montana and Dwight Clark of the San Francisco 49ers in the Baton Rouge Lounge. I remember during the NFL season, the Empress Lily would play host to a Tampa Bay Bucaneers night.
But I have to tell you, I can still taste the chicken artichoke hearts that were served at the Village Restaurant.
I remember in 1990 when I visited with my family (I was 20 back then and D-ick Tracy was all the rage),
Denny Zavett performed at the Comedy Warehouse at Pleasure Island. I even have one of his signature golf balls in my Disney collection.
Ah the memories.
EDIT: One more thing, if you watch all of Denny's videos, check the closing credits on Audition Six, as 1:25. The very last convention show credits it says "Steel Service Center Institute." That was my father's former employer, located in the Terminal Tower in Downtown Cleveland, in the late 1970s through early 1990s. Dad was VP of the company and set up a handful of "conventions" for SSCI at WDW while he was there.
