Scooter rental and FW/WL walking trail

I will be renting a scooter for my mother when we stay at the WL in September. Any recommendations for offsite rental companies? I know there are websites that mention a few different companies, but I wanted to know who had used them and what you thought of their service.

Also, is the walking trail between WL and FW scooter friendly? I really like to eat at Trails End Buffet and I know the boat is not always easy for wheelchair boarding at WL. Is the trail paved or dirt and can a scooter be driven on it?

Thanks!

I thought she was the daughter.
The person needing the scooter would be her grandmother.

Yes, she's the daughter. But she's been real good at pushing my mother around for years. In more ways than one. :)

My mother has just decided she would drive herself around next time we're at WDW. So look out world!

As I recall, the trail is paved. I don't know how "scooter friendly" that will make it, as it is a trail through the woods, and therefore is susceptible to having dirt, branches, etc. on it. I guess if you lead the way, you can probably clear away any offending obstacles.

I hope someone else will confirm my recollection about the trail being paved, but I think that's right, because I'm pretty sure we pushed my son in his stroller.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the help. I think I will go with Walker Mobility. They have good rates for scooters. I think I've seen people on bikes at the end of the walking trail, so it's probably paved. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed anyway.

And thanks for asking about Rachel (popsicletrees). She's getting ready for graduation. She's had a few really big papers to turn in, and several receptions, luncheons, etc. to go to lately, so she hasn't been on here in awhile. Maybe that will change soon.
