Hello everyone, I'm here for a bit, then heading over into town to get the van washed. Gas is up to $3.35, so it cost me $60 to fill it up. :fork::fork:

Okay I need a little help here...

my best friend's older sister is getting married in two weeks... me and three of my buddies were said we could be like 4 reserves if people said they couldn't make it, which obviously always happens... and last week we found out we could go...

so the four of us decided... we'd obviously go in on a gift together to get them something very nice... and the bride/groom are moving out to Chicago immediately following the wedding (born and raised here) so we thought... let's get them White Sox/Red Sox tickets because they're obviously die-hard Sox fans (Red... they only play the White Sox though, not the cubs)...

so... we figured at first like $50 a person would be reasonable... and the more I thought about I thought... this is tough; because I think it should be $100 a person... the weddign is going to EASILY be $50,000... probably closer to $75,000... it's a huge wedding... and it's Open Bar...

so... I'm figuring... open bar alone will save my friend $75-$100 because thats what they woulda spent... so the least we could do is throw in $75 a person to get them really good tix...

well... two of my buddies were both like "yeah i was thinking along the same lines in the back of my mind... let's aim for $75... if we absolutely have to stretch it... then $100..."

well i've been like coordinating this, and sending seperate emails out (i shoulda made 1 email going to everyone...) because... my last buddy comes back and he just moved into an apartment (stupidily... immediately following getting a job and not taking the time to get a little saved in the bank...) and send me back an email with like a... "strict budget speech"

and the kid spends $50-$100 a weekend going out into Boston...

but anyways... says $50 is MORE than reasonable (i wouldn't say more than reasonable... reasonable yes, not more than reasonable though... they're spending probably $250 a head...) and he could mayyyyyyyyyybe stretch it a bit... but anything around $70 he can't do...

and... i mean... i just think he's being kind of immature about this...

regardless... you're going to a $50,000+ wedding that really you have no business going to... it's our best friend's sister... not our best friends.... they're having an open bar... you'd spend $75 if they didn't have it... even if you figured $50... WHAT IS AN EXTRA $25... I mean honestly... if forced to and if it's for a good reason (like celebrating a marriage...) who is gonna miss $25...

so now what it's gonna come down to... is I'm gonna buy $300 tickets... get $75 from two of my friends... $50 from this one... and I'm gonna dish out $100...

OR... we all spend $50 and get them not so great tickets...
