* Walt Disney Imagineering
* Imagineering Field Guide to Epcot
* The Disney Mountains : Imagineering at it's Peak
and last but not least, for my wife,
* Sandylion's big book of disney ideas (scrapbooking)

do any of you have these? let me know was my momentary slip into a buying frenzy worthwhile?

I can only speak of the "Walt Disney Imagineering" book, but in that case yes, you made a very good purchase. I've also read the MK Field Guide and flipped through the others, and they're very good.

And my all-time favorite photo that shows the humor that the Imagineers can have is on Page 89 of that book. :)

The Imagineering and Field Guide books are phenomenal. Can't say anything about the Disney Mountains book because I don't have a copy, although I really want to get my hands on one. I think you'll be happy with your purchase. The title of this thread is pretty funny, btw. :lol:

The Imagineering Field Guides are awesome. The DW and I took them with us in the parks last year and read them in lines.

I've read them all.
My favorite by far is the Imagineering Field Guides (you should have bought all three!) The Imagineering book is also great---it was my favorite until the Field Guides came out...haha.
Check your Disney Mountain's book----I had purchased a copy as a gift and was flipping through it before I wrapped it and noticed that pages 96-112 were missing. Just want to make sure that there wasn't a major error and yours is missing too. Otherwise----it's a great book with tons and tons of concept art.

The Sandylion book is just okay. I do own it because I scrapbook and craft, but it's really just a big advertisement for their products. It just shows picture examples, but doesn't really explain how to make anything. Not that these things can't be figured out, but directions would be nice.
If you really want to impress your wife, see if you can order the creative memories Disney idea book. It's long out of print, but every once in awhile one popps up on ebay. Now there's a great Disney scrapbooking book.
