Picking up Tickets at Will Call a Good Idea?

Hi all. I have left it a little late to buy tickets and have them delivered by post. I'm wondering how painful it will be to buy tickets from Disney in advance and pick them up at the Will Call on Monday, March 10. Does the will call open before the park? Any suggestions are welcome - thanks.

It depends, you almost always have to get them at one of the parks not your resort. And usually there is a wait, and the kids seem to get a little restless when this is going on and it can add tension to the beginning of the day, when that is supposed to be the most exciting part.

I've only had to do it once, because i changed my package with less than 30 days left and the cast member couldnt be nicer but it took close to 20 minutes just to get to her in line, plus the time it took us to get our tickets. I would highly recommend having your tickets already.

And if you are just getting tickets you know you can buy them at your local disney store for the same price as ordering them online? I think you can even buy them at Orlando Airports Disney Store, but i would make sure they werent charging more than other disney stores.

You can pick up your will call tickets at the Concierge desk in the lobby as long as you have your will call number. If you don't have the number, you will have to go to guest relations at one of the parks.

The have used Will Call several times and picked up my tickets at the Magic Kingdom. I did not get to the park until 10 or so, so I had no problem.

Thanks - do you have any idea whether this service would be available at the Hilton at Downtown Disney (the one with extra hours etc. privileges)?

Welcome aboard

I assume that nine days isn't long enough to assure delivery of the tickets at home ? Can they not be sent by a special mail courier or anything ?

I doubt it would be available at the Hilton itself, but you can go to Guest Relations at DTD and pick them up. Our last trip we got into town on Sunday evening and picked our tickets up at DTD so we wouldn't need to do it at the park the next morning. The line wasn't long and we had our tickets in hand within minutes.
