(I think) my first time watching it was for 2000. There was such great coverage that year from all over the world.

I've watched it every year since I was about 5. My grandma used to get out all of the metal pots & metal spoons. We could bang on them and be as loud as we wanted for 1 minute...we did our confetti and then it was bedtime.

My brother's friend was living there for a while, I think he moved, though. :lol:

It's really nice but VERY expensive. It looks like, desipite me swearing we were, we're not going to be renewing out lease in March. We want something a little bigger and now that we have wheels we're a little more flexible with where we can live. So we may go further out in Jersey.

I loved watching the coverage in 2000. I remember that my family was sick and we all just hung around watching the coverage all day as the new century began all around the world. I can still see Peter Jennings, looking cool and relaxed in a tux, as only he could, enjoying immensely his job of reporting the events as they occurred. So cool.
