Ringing in the New Year with Magic Friends

Same here - I loved having everyone here and all, but it just felt different.

I loved Christmas Day. Loved it.
But now I'm finished with it all and just want it to go away.
I don't know...I guess there are always expectations that aren't met. Always that yearning for something that you can't quite name. Makes me sad, angry and tired.
I'm sorry...I seem to be on a shinny tangent here.

I think for me it's just the whole expense thing right now. DS' tuition costs are killing us, but he loves the school.

I know what you mean about expectations that you can't quite name. I feel them this yr.

It's back to being normal now, so maybe it was a temporary thing.

Morning sweetie!

I'm not quite sure what you meant.
Because my screen looks the same as it did when you first posted about the blue line. Now I don't know if something is different or not.

I started putting stuff away this morning.....we never do that before New Years.

I got a real itch to do that yesterday, but didn't have the time.
I am definitely doing it by Monday. No one is coming here for New Year's so it doesn't matter.

It was weird.
The boxes with the posts were more spread out, and had a very definite bold blue line running under them.
But, my screen is back now to the way it always was.

We've been invited to BIL's for NYE, but I think I just want to stay home. NYE is no biggie on my list.

Oh.
Mine never did look like that.
Some people were having trouble with the site yesterday, but I wasn't. Maybe that had something to do with it.

We were invited to a friend's, who also invited all of our group. But as it turns out very few of us are actually going. Now it's too late for us to back out without hurting her feelings. We're not really looking forward to it though.

We just had to tell Corey he had to pay for his schooling. We hated to do that but we had to. Will he go get a job?

If he wants to continue school, he'll have to.

But could he earn enough to help take some of the burden from you?
That's what the plan is right now. DS isn't the most ambitious person in the world, but if he plans to go back there in the fall, he's going to have to earn some serious money this summer.

We still don't know what we're doing. DF wants to go watch the ball drop. There's no way I'm getting into that mess of people. :hammer:

What year is he in school? Is he eligible for financial aid?
Yay!
Hi Steph!
Love the avatar!
Did you have a nice Christmas?
Thanks!

I did have a nice Christmas! It's always so nice seeing all of my family...and I mean ALL of my family. It's always at this time of year that I remember just how big my family is.
We got a bunch of the "s" word Christmas Day night, which was a pain. But luckily it was gone the next day when I had to take DF back to the airport in Omaha.

Did you have a nice Christmas, Dot?
No biggie on my list either. We are staying home. Most likely going to bed before midnight.
