Ringing in the New Year with Magic Friends

that's kinda how I felt when I was planning mine. Esp. when I found out that my dates were changing and I had only the weekend to get my schedule fixed.

I'm stressing a little, actually. I know the crowds will be much higher when we go, so I'm trying to minimize my anxiety about that. So I want to give us two days at MK, and two days at Epcot, plus a day each at the Studios and AK. Still, I haven't even booked dining ressies, so I have to get that done soon. :hammer:
This is what Abby wants (for meals)
Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare
Lunch at Crystal Palace
Princess lunch at Akershus
Chef M's for dinner
Tusker House for lunch
and 50's Prime Time for lunch
Can anyone tell me if it's worth the money?

Sounds like good picks, but I've only done the dining plan once - and that was with tip, appitizer, entree, dessert & drink included. I'm not sure what you get now and for how much...?

Sorry Jenny
I can't tell you. I have no idea. I have never eaten at those places except for Lunch at Crystal Palace.

Well right now that is without the dining plan - it would be OOP. *gulps* We're staying at the cabins, so we'll be doing some cooking. I know I don't HAVE to do all these because Abby wants them, but I know financially, our next trip down might not be until 2011. So part of me wants to cater to our every whim. :o

Well, if you plan on cooking a bit as well, I'd say cut out a few restaurants and pay OOP. Before we did the dining plan, we'd do probably four or five full meals at a table service restaurant in a 7 day trip. Sometimes we'd pop in and just order something small, so the bill wouldn't be too much. But those four or five meals were enough for us. We could spend all day just bumming around the parks and getting a bite here and there.

That's what I'm leaning towards I think. Abby really wants the princess meal, and that fits in with our day at World showcase, and I really want to visit Tusker again. I think if we cut out 1900 Park Fare and 50s prime time, I might be able to swallow that cost a little easier.

I've done Chef Mickey's for dinner and it was delicious. It would probably be good for Joel, since they have a wide selection of kids choices.
I've done dinner at 50s Prime Time...and I enjoyed that too. Don't know about kid's choices.
The Askershus one I don't think I'd do b/c the food scares me a bit.

I know, but I showed Abby the menu, and lunch was her pick. We're going for the princesses anyway. I think they have pizza on the kids' menu.

I would be the same way.
I don't do well with exotic food choices. :lookaroun
