Ariel with legs at Akershus?!

I know that the princesses at EPCOT's Akershus can change daily, but I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has been there recently and had Ariel as one of the princesses? We live local and have AP, so getting there is not a problem, if I only knew when Ariel was there! We've met her several times at MK, but she is wanting to meet her in a dress with legs very much so! Any help would be great!

She is usually at lunch and dinner. However, she is not always guaranteed. But she is there a lot of the time.

Ariel with legs

From what I understand, Norway has exclusive rights to Ariel (with legs) and she has been their main princess since the princess breakfast (then later lunch and dinner) started. I remember only one time that we didn't see Ariel there (Sleeping Beauty filled in for her), during our many times eating there. (guess she had 1 too many beers the night before:hurl:).

Ariel first regularly appeared with legs in the afternoon parade at the Magic Kingdom (I think she is still in the current version of it as well?). I think she FIRST appeared with legs during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party parade.

MGM parade, with fin (better excuse than "I got a headache"...poor Eric):(

Just remember the princesses are not guaranteed at the meal. There have been times where they have had to send Alice, Alladdin and other Prince figures in their sted. Minnie has even at one time appeared there as a fill in in one of her princess dresses (not the one from the parties)

We had dinner at Akershus last spring and did not see Ariel... and we were a little bummed out! Maybe we'll get lucky and see her when we eat there on Christmas Day. :xmas:

When we did lunch last year, Arial was in her ball gown as you came in the door for pictures, which were available to buy later. She did not come around to the tables.

So she reverts to her fins when she goes to MGM and MK, and puts on her legs when she goes to Epcot. Interesting...fickle woman!

I know this is tounge-in-cheek (that's what SHE said!), but remember that at Disney parks you are part of the story, so you often meet or see the characters at various stages of their story. While you may meet Ariel at the Magic Kingdom while she is still pining for her prince, at Askerhouse she has come to visit right after her wedding. You see Belle and Beast in France at Epcot while they are still falling in love with each other. The villians are likewise met usually before the evil turn that leads to their demise.

And to answer the original post, remember that real flesh and blood young ladies work hard to bring life to our favorite princesses, and sometimes not every princess is available. So, while Ariel is regularly seen in her gown at Akershus, it is no guarantee that she will be present when you are there. I assume your daughter is the one wanting to meet Ariel there - don't build up the visit as a "let's go see Ariel" but let it be a magical surprise if Ariel is there.

well you don't actually see her legs because of her ballgown but I assume they are there :lookaroun

(maybe they put robotics around her fins to make her stand up straight)
