pirates three worlds end

just got my pirates of the Caribbean worlds end ,through the post today I'm off to watch it and see what all the fuss was about! cant see any references on the extras to the parks though which is a shame, not even the premier, i like to look out for any park refences in films

ehh? I thought it's not due to come out until December...that's what my preorder said.

Maybe that just blu-ray though.....

Sounds like you got the one disc with nothing on it. The LE 2 disc set will have a bunch of extras on it. For those of you wondering how someone got it, it came out in every place else around the world early so Disney can try and make some money before it gets boot-legged and sold out of someones trunk for 5 bucks. The surprising thing is that US is low on the boot-leg scale when it comes to DVD's.

See my answer above. But to expand, people would/do buy DVD's in the US and have it on the streets of every other country within hours. So they are doing it backwards because we are still on the good side when it comes to getting boot legs from other countries.

no mines not a bootleg! 2 disc special editon. i live in uk and its out here, for a change beating america, ratatoiulle (?) is still at the cinema here and not out on dvd til next easter! so its swings and roundabouts on the realease dates. apart from the loopy bit where you first see jack with the sound of the pirates ride cant see much else from the ride.

Its not officially released over here until tomorrow...........:shrug:

Most of the ride references in the movie are more verbal (i.e. the lines Barbossa says to Elizabeth: "You may not survive to pass this way again").

Also, the whole "going over the waterfall" in order to go to another world concept is reflected in the ride.

One could say that using the term "Maelstrom" rather than "whirlpool" could be a reference to the ride in Norway in Epcot, but that might be a bit of a stretch.

There's some park references in the waterfall scene that are just ridiculous. When they head over the waterfall, listen to the dialogue that is there. It's from the ride, and it doesn't seem to fit at all.

Actually, for me, that dialogue marked the point where the movie turned for the worse. Disappointing finale to the trilogy.

Hey make sure to keep an eye out for me while your watching. I got to work on the film back in the winter of '05, and actually made it into the film about 6 or 7 times. Although they are really quick and in the background, haha. But hey, I still made it in :lol: !!! I can't wait to get the 2 disc myself so that I can watch all the special features and see everyone I worked with, and maybe even find myself again :p . The DVD guys were ALL OVER the set filming EVERYTHING like our rehearsals, getting our make-up applied, eating, getting dressing in costume and picking up our props, etc. Man I wish I had it already....... Enjoy the film!!!:wave:

I can't stand the second two movies. I like to pretend they don't exist, and just watch Curse of the Black Pearl.

Though the waterfall scene in the third one amuses me.

Does anyone know what LE stuff will be available on the release date? Lithographs, coins, action figures, or whatever? I'm going to go to the Disney store, dressed like Captain Jack, and pay with disney dollars.

there should have been a disclaimer saying plot give aways listed here.
I haven't seen the movie myself as I was working alot and didnt get a chance to see it and was waiting to see it on dvd.Thankfully I decided to stop reading as I saw someone say something from the movie and just clicked reply.

2 references that are not really that much of a give away - one being the waterfall? thats IN every trailer anyway....

so not really a spoiler?

anyway - i will be getting it on blu ray tomorrow :)
