help with room POP Century

I am trying to find out what the room number is. When we go to POP Nov 28 I am wanting a 4th floor room on the corner in 50's building c (tramp) facing the lake. Not asking for much I know... LOL. Does anyone know this room number? We stayed on the 1st floor facing the pool last time and thought it would be nice to be on the back side. Especially (sp) since we are staying during pop warner week. And we don't have any kids involved.

Thanks in advance.

You may have better luck if you request a room "in the 50's or 60's building facing the lake". That would give Disney some flexibility in finding what you want.
Those will probably be Preferred Rooms which means you'll have to pay extra.

We were there a couple of years ago during Pop Warner week. We just reserved a Preferred Room. It turned out to be on the second floor of the 60's building overlooking the lake. Very nice view (except for the uncompleted blgs. across the lake) and it was very quite.
We seldom saw or heard anyone else.

The crowds seemed to be on the pool side of the buildings, overlooking the main pool.

Good luck.
:)

As far as I know, they don't know what room you'll be in till you check in. The rooms are issued by a computer, you can request a building, but I really don't think a room number will be available.

If you are really able to request a room by number it would be either 3436 or 3437, which will put right next to the lake with 36 point more into the lake. I was in Building #2 in 2448 and that was facing out to the lake. So anything from #2437-48 will give you a great view of the lake and #2437 will give you a great view of SSE during the morning when you turn right and at night a nice view of the upper edges of the Illuminations.

I hope to get building #2 again next trip.

So even if you had a certain room number and requested a certain room, your chances of getting it are slim for many reasons.

1. It's by computer, so they can't guarantee anything anyway
2. Somebody could already be staying in that room when you get there
3. Even if you make a request, they don't always have the ability to fufill it...especially the first time out.

For example, we had our travel agent put in that we wanted a King Size bed. When we got there, we still were reserved for 2 beds. Luckily, we asked about it while there, and they did switch our room for us.

So, as you can see, making requests early doesn't always do anything for you anyway. My suggestion is to yes, request early, but make sure you request when you get there. (And only request an area...not a room)

It's funny you mention this room. It's the EXACT room I stayed in 2 years ago, and that view of Epcot was priceless.

I don't have the number of the room handy though.

That is what they told us in May. We are going in December and we paid for a preferred room and we just requested the 60's building, but that does not mean we will get it we could get any preferred room.:xmas:

The last two times I stayed at POP, I was given a room designed for someone in a wheelchair. Does anyone know the procedure for assigning those special rooms? Maybe because I travel alone and don't need two beds?
If I didn't want that kind of room would they switch?

There's no problem with it, it's just that one of the rooms had a shower area that reminded me of a hospital and it took a little away from the atmosphere.

This is true, the one positive is that you WILL get the type of room you paid for but not where you ask. But take this into consideration, for the value resorts you can't get into your room till after 3, and most others it's not till after 4. But once at the All Stars we got there at 11am or 12 and were able to get into our room right away:D, and when we stayed at SSR in July, we were there at 10am and were told we could get in right away too. But I guess that makes up for when we were at OKW last Nov. and weren't able to get into the room till after 5:15pm . Sometimes you hit it right and then sometimes

Every time I have stayed at POP, when I check in, I have given the choice to pick from 5 or six rooms. Everything from poolside to 4th floor. We usually pick a ground floor room because we have kids. We never request ahead of time.

SPEAKING OF POP CENTURY , DOES ANYONE KNOW WHATS GOING ON WITH THE LEGENDARY YEARS RESORT?
Growing weeds and collecting dust. Actually there was a video of someone walking thru the place on here, and it's really sad to see it so unfinished. But until they see the need to finish it, ie greater amounts of people looking at trying to get into value they may not start.

Ah! I was at Pop Century this morning, I could have looked up the room number for you. Good Luck with getting the room. When you check in just ask for the specific area and they will do their best to get it for you.

You can ask for a different room.

We actually had a wheelchair accessable room our last trip and we kinda liked the shower...it does feel a bit like a locker room...but it wasn't something that totally bothered us either. However, when we checked in, they asked us if a wheelchair accessable room was ok...so if it's not something you want, just say no.
