Wow we talk about how people say the EPCOT Center font looks dated....if that Innoventions font doesn't scream 1990s then hell has frozen over and a DVC unit is opening at "Satanic Springs".

Meh. I guess they're trying to let people know that Innoventions is fun based on the design? Seems more apt to a Comedy Club.

Don't give them any ideas. A comedy club in Tomorrowland is more than enough.
I saw the sign today and was told on a tour I took that they think the whole Road to Tomorrow concept may be going away. Tomorrow 2.0 is already gone in Innoventions West (or did that happen awhile ago? I don't recall reading anything about it here on the boards).

Yeah he was replaced with an amazing area where GASP there are areas to lounge around on cushy chairs. Those of you who have been to the Animation Academy out at Disney's California Adventure know what I'm talking about. The only downside is that a fire truck starts it's sirens every so often disrupting everything...

I agree. The old towers made it look much more interesting an high tech. The new sign during the day seems to scream Babyland.

It looks alright, its just gonna take some getting used to. Kinda OT, but what was the original concept of innoventions before the road to tomorrow came in? I def. cant remember, I just remember it having all those sega genesis and such games and some kind of simulator around summer 1994. I cant remember which one, east or west, but they changed it a little in 1997 and added some different games. But was there an overall concept or was it just that it was innoventions.

My initial reaction was "What the...?" but i do like the paintjob.. not sure about the sign itself.

And what's that single thing up above it? More vinyl cover stuffs? I'll need to see the finished product.

Thats basically it mousermerf. Its a big mural type thing with "innoventions" written in varying shades of blue and green. It has some other words like "inform" and "imagine" superimposed on it as well.

Honestly, I wish the towers were still there.

The signs for the original Innoventions were quite interesting to watch at night before they started to break, decay, and become neglected. The logo was simple and the font was sleek even by today's typograph standards. I wouldn't mind it's return, perhaps with a less visually intrusive tower structure. Prior to the Millenium tarps, it wasn't so bad and didn't detract too much from the surroundings.
