Does anyone know what kind of snacks are available for breakfast on the DDP. We are staying at the POP in OCT and are specifically interested in the food court there, but in the parks too. Thanks.:) :)

We stayed at the All Stars resort and they had mixed fruit cups in the fridge which were under the snack plan this past June. We also use to buy the big container (I'm from Canada so I only know litres) of milk from the gift shop, it still only counted as one snack credit and we would just keep it in cold water in the sick or ice bucket. We used it for the kids and we also brought cereal from home. So fruit & cereal was our breakfast in the morning! Sorry, I can't give you more info. Sometimes we would wait until we got to the parks to pick up a quick something to keep us going until lunch time. Don't be afraid to ask what is a snack item and what isn't. We had no idea that the big container of milk was a snack item until the lady at the cash asked us if we wanted to redeem one of our snack credits for it. Then we discovered the big container (again, I don't know the size exactly) of Dasani water was one snack credit as well. So we would just fill our own water bottles in the morning using the large bottle of Dasani water.

We found that our snack credits went pretty far by using them in the gift shop by buying snacks there. We stayed at CSR and they sold large bags of chips, 2 liters of pop and things like boxes of donuts. Since CSR had fridges in the rooms we were able to keep them longer. These snacks were far better and more fulfilling than the snacks on the DP in the parks.

Yes, but one must have a dole whip while visiting the world.:sohappy:

Also, in the candy shop at MGM and I think MK too, they have the rice krispie treats which make an excellent snack/breakfast and are on the DDP.

Thanks for the information about what is a snack item in the food courts.

We will try to use some of the snack credits for eating breakfast in the food court at POR this December. The DDP doesn't cover all meals so, for breakfast, it looks like you're on your own, unless you can use snack credits for some of it.

There are two of us so maybe we can split some things.

:xmas:

in POP,they have a bakery counter that is right at the front of the food court. They have yummy cinnamom rolls and some other bkfast treats that counted as a snack credit.we did this a few times, stopping for bkfast slows us down,so we just had stuff on the run.Buying a half gallon of milk for 2.99 in POP and keeping it on ice saves you some cash and snack credits.we did this as well.we also picked up a 2.00 cooler at walmart and kept water(also from walmart on ice the whole trip),also,in POP,you can get a big portion of nachos with cheese as a snack credit that made for a quick pick me up midday so we were not to full for dinner. The dining plan is a LOT OF FOOD.Also,in the POP food court at the bakery/ice cream counter ,you can get a shake for desert or an ice cream sundae.Tell the cashier you want this and ask them to stamp your reciept. It gives you 90 minutes from the time on the reciept to pick up your desert. This way nothing melts and you can digest a little before desert. You are going to hate coming home and paying for your food again!!!:ROFLOL:
also,my kids now want to know what their starter before dinner is!!!!

Anytime we ate at Pop for breakfast, we used our snack credits. What we got:

- Bowl of Oatmeal
- Muffin
- Bagel w/cream cheese
- Lg Orange Juice
- Croissant
- Box of Entemann's donuts
- Cup of sliced apples
- Bowl of grapes
- Chocolate Chip Cookie (Ok, I admit one morning I did this - but isn't the motto "What happens at Disney, stays at Disney" )

Each of the things on my list was 1 credit. We'd usually use 3 credits to get breakfast for 2 of us: one food item for me, one food item for my daughter, and a fruit item or juice to share. Although the box of donuts is a real deal - we both ate out of that for 2 days!

How about the little prepacked bowls of cereal?
That's probably a 'snack' item for beakfast, maybe.

Wondering what's a snack seems confusing a little. A fun problem.

All day I have to do computer programming stuff and think logically.
At WDW for breakfast I don't want to think logically.
If (Item = Snack and (Snack Credits <> Zero)) then Go; else Pay.

Tks.

If you want multiple items, you just have to tell the cashier ringing them up that you want to use a single counter service credit for them, or that you want to use individual snack credits for everything. Just tell the cashier how you want it done - I never had any problem using 3 snack credits on 3 items at once at breakfast. The cashiers will also help you identify what can be put together on a counter service meal if you are confused. I found the cashiers at the resorts much more patient in this regard than the servers at the restaurants in the parks....

We didn't stay at POP, but we woke up super early and ate at the parks. The stuffed pretzels were great for breakfast (the cream cheese one). Filling, and one snack credit each.
