I found this HILARIOUS 2-part video of Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook, and Smee at EPCOT's Flower and Garden Festival on YouTube! Peter and Wendy fight Hook with balloon swords, and really get into character like nothing I have ever seen by any characters in the parks! :D :lol: :sohappy:

Wow! Great find! I really enjoyed that and was amazed at how they performed! I would love to see something like that in person!

Seeing that just makes me sad. The characters in the parks lately may as well be made out of wax. They just stand there and sign autographs and take pictures all day long because of all the "meet and greet" nonsense these days.

Imagine how magical the parks would be if the characters all acted their parts and just roamed around and interacting with the guests. Those videos were great and I wish they'd eliminate the mundane meet and greets and do more of that.

I agree! It's so fun to see the characters running around playing instead of standing there.

Alice and the Mad Hatter at DL do a lot of running around playing and interacting with people. All the characters should be like that.

I asure you the characters would like to as well. Just one problem. some kids and parents mob the characters latch on to their legs and jump on them.

in fact a full grown girl jumped on goofys back at liberty tree one night. needless to say he was out for the night.

characters stay still mostly for their own saftey.

That is what Disney needs to be, it doesn't even have to be the characters. Like Dewey Cheatum on Main ST. You know have stuff like there in all the lands. British exploreers an such in Adventureland. Spacemen and Aliens in Tommorowland. Cowboys and Injun's in Frontierland. The possibilities are endless.

The characters do need to be more like that it would be 500% better for everyone vacationing.

last september my gf and i were at teh liberty tree and chip and dale were 'fighting' over her. it was soo funny. then goofy broke them up and dale tied goofy's apron over his head. Then Goofy started walking around like a zombie!
It was hilarious. I have the video somewhere, when i dig it out i'll post it...their actions totally made our meal and having characters acting with character is how it should be always.
