Personal Meal Agenda

I did this on another (actually non-Disney) site, and it came out pretty interesting. So, here goes:

Let's say you're on vacation for 5 days. One day in each park, one relaxing around Downtown Disney. On each of those days, you can have two counter-service meals (breakfast and lunch) one quick food or cart snack and one table-service dinner, all in the park your spending that day in. For Animal Kingdom, we'll operate pre Yak and Yeti and you can eat in any table service place on property. Where would you go and what would you get?

Magic Kingdom

Breakfast: Main Street Bakery
I'd probably get one of those cinamon buns, which I swear gives you the most food for your money in the resort, or a crossandwich, some milk and a banana and go eat in the alley outside underneath the dance and music school.

Lunch: Columbia Harbor House
My favorite counter-service place on property. Such gorgeous theming, great views and good food. Favorite chicken fingers on property, but I'll probably get the combined fish and chicken basket. And, if I have the money, a bowl of clam chowder's not a bad idea, either. Hard to pass up Figaro Fries, but oh well.

Snack: Sleepy Hollow
Liberty Square has the best food, bar none. Hard to pass up getting a chocolate covered banana, but you can't pass up all those amazing treats or the gorgeous view of the castle. Funnel cakes and ice cream cookie sandwiches are nice, but I'll take a capuccino float.

Dinner: Liberty Tree Tavern
I've spent more time in the Magic Kingdom than most US states, but I've never eaten at a table service restaurant in the whole place. I've done so many across Disney, just never in the Kingdom. I had reservations to Liberty Tree once, but had to cancel them. This is a painful memory, let's move on.

Epcot

Breakfast: Fountain View Cafe
They better not close this place down. A breakfast pocket and a nice latte by the fountains is a great way to start the day.

Lunch: The Seasons
It's hard to decide where to go, but the Seasons has my favorite sandwich on property. Roasted turkey and smoked ghouda with fresh greens on foccaccia bread, topped with chipotle mayo. It's amazing.

Snack: Soft Pretzel
Off the top of my head, the only pretzel kiosk I can think of is by the Land. I'll go there. No cheese sauce.

Dinner: Biergarten
Obviously a REAL hard choice, but the all-you-can-eat German food wins it for me. I love putting those little bites of bratwurst into those pretzel rolls. And all the amazing desserts and everythign. I also like the communal dining experience, and the music. Tough to say no to so many places, though.

Disney/MGM Studios

Breakfast: I've never eaten breakfast in MGM, so I don't know.

Lunch: Until recently, there wasn't much I loved about lunch in MGM. But, one of the places on Sunset in about November came out with a wonderful sandwich. Sun-dried basil-coated tomatoes, swiss cheese and turkey on I-can't-remember-but-it-was-good bread. Definitely where I'd go.

Snack: Stuffed Pretzel
Easy.

Dinner: Sci-Fi Drive-In Theater
MGM is my favorite place for table service, and it's a tough call, but I'll take the drive in. Few things more entertaining than that film reel, and it's good food. Part of my problem with 50's is that I don't like much of the food.

Animal Kingdom

Breakfast: A cinamon bun and frozen chai tea at the Anandapur Royal Tea Company is a great way to start a day.

Lunch: Tusker House
Okay, so it's a buffet now. But, I hate Flame Tree and Pizzaffari. I'd always get the fried chicken sandwich (no lettuce). Without Tusker House, I'll probably just go to Restrauntasaurus.

Snack: Chocolate covered banana with nuts from the stand near the Oasis.

Dinner: California Grille
Never eaten there, but everyone else I know has and loves it.

Downtown Disney

Breakfast: Never eaten breakfast at DTD, but I do like bacon egg and cheese biscuits at McDonalds.

Lunch: Earl of Sandwich
Definitely my favorite restaurant on property. Amazing sandwiches, salads, sides and drinks. And I can use my discount there. I usually get the roast beef and cheddar sandwich, with extra horseradish, and an Earl's Gray Tea, with chips. Sometimes a salad, occassionally fresh berries and cream as a dessert.

Snack: Ghiradellis
Best place for snacks. I'm partial to a sundae.

Dinner: Fultons
So many great places to eat, but Fultons - just for the ambience - is amazing to me. I'm partial to a lobster bisque and some fried portobella strips.

Best advice for meals is look for the children menu, for lunch since if they have a topping bar you can make it into a full meal for only 4.25.

Will they let an adult order off the kid's menu - from other sources I've read I've gotten the impression that they won't...
