They said they would tell my recruiter their decision and she would contact me. They said it should be relatively soon so I guess next day or so? It was soooo different from the interview I had for this job. That was much more personality-based. They wanted to see the type of person that I was and it was a lot easier. I was just able to be myself and show off my character. I even got into a conversation about Disney. This was more "What do you know and how well do you know it?"

I guess they just have a different way of conducting interviews.
Maybe, since they're doing it long distance, they figured it was most important to find out what you know. Not much sense in delving into your personality if you're not qualified for the job in the first place. The "getting to know you" part could come later.

Well, anyway. . .
You can relax now.
You'll know soon enough. :)

Yay! :sohappy:
Thanks Jess!

:D Thank you!

I forgot I wanted to tell y'all something that happened to me today...

Lizzy and I were at my mama's and I forgot my swimsuit... so I left her at my moms and drove back to my house (about 2 minutes away) and between our houses is an elementary school with a daycare next door. As I was driving by the daycare I saw a man on a motorcycle sitting behind a tree, in the drive of the daycare - right next to the playground of the elementary school. There were about 6 kids at the corner of the playground talking to this guys - and he was hidden from teachers behind this tree. My first thought was maybe he was dropping a child off at daycare... followed by - it's a school day the only kids in daycare are under 5 and you can't put a kid under 5 on a motorcycle... so what in the world was he doing? Hidden from teachers - talking to kids on a playground - out of sight of teachers...

So I called the police, told them what was going on and asked them to send a cruiser by the school just to keep an eye on things. I then continued on to my house grabbed my suit and 3 minutes later was driving back by the school... and WOW... all the teachers were outside moving the kids away from the outer edges of the fence - and 10 or so cop cars circling the area, while a few of them were in the daycare parking lot and school parking lot. I was so proud of them! It might not have been anything at all... but it made me nervous and I'm so glad they took me seriously and did something about it. I didn't see the motorcycle guy - but they put that school on alert immediately. Better safe than sorry...

I know dealing with police officers can be a pain at times, but today I almost had tears in my eyes I was so proud of these guys for protecting our kids!

Wow, it was good that you were paying attention. And called the police. You did an outstanding job and am very proud of you. :sohappy:
I am sure that your instinct was right on and I am sure that every parent is thankful for your intuitiveness.

Can I just say...I know that everyone is probably gone for the night...but I just love you guys so much! After reading all that happened after I left...you guys just make me smile and I'm so proud to have you all in my life. Others might not understand what we have here...but to me, you all are so wonderful. I just can't say it enough...I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!! You all are so freaking special to me it hurts. Which is why instead of sitting at home without internet access, I can back to Bread Co...just so I could talk to you all. I really am a nutbag!

And a special shout out goes to Dana...you really are an incredible woman...offering Bunny your crib....I cannot believe how incredibly beautiful you are, inside and out. I love you!

Meh. I'm a noseyhole. Y'all know that. I'm always wondering what people are thinking or doing... and my radar is constantly looking for people preying on children. When I had Lizzy my sense of protection, not just for her - but for children in general skyrocketed... (i'm sure as all mom's do) LOL

Wow, it was good that you were paying attention. And called the police. You did an outstanding job and am very proud of you. :sohappy:

Thanks Dan. I pray I was way off - but it certainly didn't look that way.

I have to go.
You people. . .you are so good.
I'm so grateful for you.
Dream Sweet.

I'm glad you're one of us Dot. I know you won't get this until you get back from work tomorrow - but I hope you have a marvelous day tomorrow.

Hi Guys! Long day at work....nothing like eating dinner at 10:rolleyes:

I'm attempting to catch up on what I missed today....but it looks like I missed a lot.

Hey Chrissy! ((hugs)) Sit back, put your feet up, and relax! You've earned it girl!

I'll give you a quick recap:

Bunny's grandpa is in poor health and needs prayer. And she's having plumbing issues with her house - so uber hugs going out her way.

Dana has a crib she's never taken out of the box that she might give Bunny and Marc if they want it... which might help take some of the stress off Bunny. (Bunny if you read this later - it's the same crib I gave that review on a few months ago - definately a great one!)

Dot and George had their first date at Woodstock. :lookaroun And Dot spend the rest of the day reminiscing.

Betty's still got half a day left with mom. ((hugs))

Danny's the coaster king and helped Kat out with a future trip.

Vince had an interview tonight that seemed to go pretty well... it was tough on him but he's a trooper and pulled through with flying colors. :)

Nibblies is at ABC (not the liquor store) with her laptop so that she could chat with us. (where'd she go btw?)

And that's about that! I'm sure I'll think of more in a minute... but that's a quick recap.

Sure! :)

Oh yeah... and

Steph left for Disney world today!

And Rick & Vince ganged up on Steph's DBF and were going to try and take him out so they could go with Steph... I might have spoiled that plan with a threat to call Rick's wife... which was enough to scare off Vince too. :lookaroun

Jenny felt old until she heard Dot and George were at Woodstock.

Then they had an ice cream fight about it.

Then Jenny found a little snake in her house. Which is her worst fear... so her DH saved the day by coming home to get it.

And just for the record... George is not a judge. :) :lookaroun :)

Dot's George that is...

Dan's George is running for mayor.

Wow we had a busy day!
