Ok, I started a TR as Fishy mentioned. It'll probably take me a while to get it all done, but Steph mentioned she wanted to see some stuff befor she left - so I'm trying. ;)

No offense to the mommies of special needs kids, but sometimes I just have no tolerance for them :lookaroun

Ok I'm kidding  I have tolerance for those that are genuinely trying. But those that are maybe of a lower IQ or something and are plain jerks, I don't have tolerance for them.

Case and point: I'm subbing for an ESE teacher and one kid in particular is being a jerk. Won't do the work for me and won't stay in his seat. When I try and get him in his seat, he looks at me and laughs and comes up with some smart-alleck line.

Another little girl did her work and is very sweet. Her I like. But again, regardless of who you are, if you are a jerk or have an attitude with me, I don't have the patience for it.

Bye Jen!

Oy!
What fun things do you have planned?
White glove inspection?
Dust bunny roundup?
I had hoped she'd spend one more day at my brother's, but no such luck. She'll be with us now 'til Thursday afternoon - it will only seem like a month....

Reg I know exactly what you mean. I've seen special needs kids who were just delightful, and some who clearly have been allowed to rule the roost just because of their situations. Parents aren't doing those kids any favor by not enforcing a little discipline, however difficult it may be.

Maybe it's a good thing Special Needs is not your field of choice.
It's a whole different ballgame.
