Two Questions:
1. Anyone know what happened to the 2 Mark IV Monorails used from 1998 to 2003 in Las Vegas? Were they scrapped or have they been sold somewhere?
2. Has anyone seen any pictures of the Real Mark VII monorails to be used in Disneyland? It says 2007 so I would have guessed that we would see a real working copy by now.

If someone else knows offically do tell, however I understood later 2007, not the first four months of 2007.

Nothing real yet. All we have is concept art. From Screamscape:

Just a quick note.... the Disneyland monorail will be the MK VII. The MARK VII is the automated (but still manned) Tokyo model.

The Mark IV's were taken from Las Vegas line and scraped in 2004 (I believe) They were replaced with the M-VI trains similar to the ones at WDW with slight changes.

You can see all kinds of information about the Mark IV's and Mark VI's at our current project Here

NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wasn't I reading about a Disney Museum somewhere not more than a week or so ago? I think I've found a home for those monorail cars.

I hope Disney didn't read about the corporate sponsorship idea on the monorail. Can you imagine....

THanks for the input. I did some searching on the internet and found these photos. What a disgrace!!!

oh my gosh! what a horibble waste of monorail!!!!! that just makes me angry that:
1) They just put it in some scrap yard
and 2) That people just go up and draw whatever they like on it.

By the looks of those pictures, it doesn't look to hard to go and grafitti on it. UGH!:brick: :brick: :brick: :fork:

Yup there are my babies, oh how i miss the sound of all the doors making that snap sound and all the doors would open up at the same time and people would just rush out like the kentucky derby. I miss it.:(
