Susie you just reminded me of this...

Maybe some of you girls could give me some tips on wether or not this is a smart/good/really stupid idea.

But as of late, DH's taken to the "teasing" where it's funny to everyone but me. I know he's not trying to be mean... but I'm sensitive about alot of things and don't like being teased - and he's thick about that stuff.

So every time he "teases" and it bothers me... I've been saying "There's no one around but me and you - and you're the only one laughing... still funny?"

I've said it so much in the last 3 days I think he's starting to get the drift... but every time I say it now he "teases" back with "You're no fun."

Any advice? He's said a million times that if it bothers me he won't do it anymore - and then the very next time he get's the chance he does it! Not purposefully... he just carry's all the signs of an idiot on occassion. (shhh don't tell him I said that) *sigh*

Anyway. This has been bugging me all day today. Maybe you girls who've been married for buckets of years could help.

Ignoring him?

If he wants the attention and you give it to him, that defeats your purpose. By ignoring him and showing "well you're not worth my time and effort" then maybe he'll catch on and stop because there will be no point for him to continue.

*hugs*

My dad makes stupid comments from time to time in an attempt to be funny. Once he teased my sister and said "well if you can't do anything, just teach" and basically demeaning my career. It was a joke, but a poor one.

Men suck

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!

Grrrr... how is that funny?! It's insulting! Even if they don't mean it to be... it is!

*giggle* You're right there. I've never ignored him. Some thing about that just seems wrong - but with the childlike manner he says things... I might as well respond as if it was a child saying them.

OMG look at all the babies...I'm guessing they were all like Maggie or similar? They've all grown...and I'm loving the little boy with the glasses!

Great pictures and definitely look at the positive aspects of your visit, the fact that you were able to get back there with a happy and healthy baby. :)

He puckers them up all the time..:)
Awww

My cousin is having her second baby like in September/October. Her first one is turning 1 next month

My other cousin, who has been married for 7 years is having her first baby in November or so. She put off a family to focus on becoming a doctor. Now that she's almost done is I believe her perfect time to have a baby. She just didn't tell us until a few weeks ago until she was in the clear because she almost lost it at 6 weeks.

That is more or less some of what is going on here. I am upset about church today. We got to the pew first and some women wanted to share the pew. Well after communion we go to sit down and all of a sudden I can't sit accept 1 inch on the edge of the pew. The women wouldn't move back down. So DH says I was spoiled because I grew up in a church that had lots of room and his church was more crowded.:brick: and he had to share his room.:brick: I was brought up to respect other people room in the pew. I don't like sitting on other peoples laps.:( Men....

Why is it that girls have the power to take something wrong they did and make YOU feel bad about it, so in the end, you're the one apologizing? Maybe I'm just weak. :(
