Cancelling our ressies for Sci Fi Diner and Chefs de France so we can use those 2 dining credits for the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Good idea or no? BTW, we're traveling with our 5yo...

thx!

Of the three, I've only eaten at Sci-Fi. Atmosphere far more interesting than the fare, though they make an extremely tasty burger. Only thing is, amongst those three restaurants, it's probably the one a 5 year old would like the most.

My suggestion? Since you need to use two credits to eat at the Yachtsman Steakhouse, make ADRs one day at Sci-Fi for lunch. Cheaper than dinner, burgers aren't on the menu at dinner, and then you can still use your counter-service credit for dinner that night. Considering most people on the Dining Plan use their table credits for dinner (being dinners tend to cost much more than lunch), it might not be so busy getting counter-service for dinner, you and your family still at least get to go to Sci-Fi.

I've only eaten in the Yachtsman out of the three on your list and while the meal was good I think you are really paying for the atmosphere. We enjoyed our steaks at Le Cellier much better and its only one credit.

We did see small children, but unless you child is willing to sit still and be fairly quiet for at least an hour maybe it would be best to wait awhile. It is a family restaurant, but a fancier one (has a dress code).

Its fun to do once or twice, but I think the credits can be better spent elsewhere.

I love the Yacht but I would have trouble justifying 2 credits for it. It's nice, but not Cali-grill or Flying-fish nice. The food is great though. I love me some filet w/button mushrooms!:slurp:

Welp, those 2 comments just sealed the deal for me! We've got ressies (tho VERY VERY LATE!) for Le Cellier and I'm not takin dressy clothes with me to Disney.

Thanks for all your comments!

I don't think you will disappointed at all. Congrats on that ADR as they are hard to come by.

Disney's "business casual" is a little less restrictive than some, but not having to go back to the room to change (especially) with a little one can sometimes save an evening.
