how you doing everyone, first time posting, go easy with my unrealistic fantasy here (i seen how snippy you guys can get with each other on these things) but I was watching an episode of the x-files the other night where this guy is living in a house that looks exactly like the brady bunch house, i thought it would be wonderful to be able to walk through that house myself and see everything exactly the way it is on the show, and i just wanted to know if anybody here thinks it would be a cool idea to base a park around that kind of idea, maybe set up the park into different decades from the 50s all the way to today(maybe like the spokes of the wheel idea that is so famous in the disney parks), and have the park set up into different decades, beginning in the 50s when tv actually became popular for example, walking around the 50s part of the park, while hearing popular songs from those years being played( much like disney does in for every different area of their parks) you stumble upon a 1950s new york style building that holds tours of lucy's apartment, and allow people to take pictures on lucy's couch, and within the whole apartment, do the same for a couple of other famous tv shows like the brady bunch, full house( would also love to take pics and walk around that house also) have little avenues set up in the park like the avenue on friends that holds "central perk" , go have a burger at "the max" from saved by the bell, base all these places around excellent rides and i'd say its a hit, but then again i know this wont happen anytime soon with all the copyright laws and such, television companies have on the shows they produce, but i'm just dreaming out loud, and i wanted to see if anyone else likes that idea, and if it were possible, what would you add to that park taking the premise i gave you? it would be great to hear your ideas... helps me dream a little bigger sometimes lol:D

I'm a huge fan of the Great Movie Ride, so why not something similar with television? A Great TV Ride could be a lot of fun, if done with the same care and quality as GMR. I could certainly see an area in Disney-MGM being turned into a TV Land. I vote for Sunset Boulevard, since Beauty and the Beast is the only thing going for that entire area.

Hey there! Welcome to the boards!

I think your idea is pretty clever. As we move so rapidly forward, it would be nice to stop and remember all that's come before. The only thing I would add is a 40's themed area...love the clothes and music from that era.

Disney already does bits and pieces from different eras (themeing on Main Street, large parts of MGM come to mind) but a park divided up into different decades would be a huge hit in my opinion. Now if we can only get investors...

Once again, welcome!
