Illuminations: Reflections of Earth will be showing 2 shows nightly, one at 9pm and another at 11:30pm for the Extra Magic Hours (exclusive to resort guests) for the month of April.

^^ Gotten from Laughingplace.com

Anyone confirm or deny this?

If this *is* true, the dates involved would be April 3, 5, 10, 12, 20 and 27. Nothing listing this on the WDW calendar or EMH page.

My first thought was how they would have enough time or launch tubes to load 2 shows that quickly? I know they have the WW3 barges available but what about the tubes around the shore of the lagoon? Seems like it would be difficult to do.

Well, they can do 2 shows, they do it for NYE. I think those shows are 7:30 and 11:30 though *shrug*

Good point, I forgot about that. Unfortunately I have never been there for the Holiday shows. I sure would love to see ROE twice in one night.

I'm sure we'll hear from boo at some point, but I believe they can load two shows worth of shells for RoE at one time, and then they only have to re-load the seawall launchers. That wouldn't take very long at all.

That's what I was wondering - I would guess that if it was just the shoreline tubes it would not take all that long to re-load them. Could be wrong but it doesn't seem to me like there would be enough room on the regular barges for 2 shows worth of fireworks but the WW3 would take care of that. What about the Earth Globe fireworks and inferno barge though? Since they have done 2 shows before in one night it would be interesting to know how they do it.

Pretty sure it's the day after tomorrow, unless you're counting today being Saturday allready, then it's tomorrow... in other words we're still roughly 24 hours from April 1.

I do not doubt the credibility of the source. One thing for sure is that thr RoE crew will have a lot of work to do in 2 hours. I wonder if they have enough time to bring the barges back in to reload or will they reload out on the water as they do for NYE.

From what I have heard several months ago from various locations, they do not seem to have enough time to do two shows. When they do a 2 show night the inferno barge is not used as it becomes very hot on it and they have to go out and reload all the tubes on every barge while they are out on the water. Every tube is used during a regular show and there are no extras on the barges. When doing a 7:30 & 11:00, they do not have enough time to bring the barges in to do it. Unless they add more launch tubes then this wouldn't be possible. And it appears that every inch of space is used on the barge. What I have heard is that they are going to have the inferno barge burnoff seem more like an event after each show. This is the burning off of all the leftover fuel on the inferno barge. It is burnt off in under a few seconds and creates a single fireball larger than the ones in the show. Check the youtube link below to see a video of it. It currently happens at about 10:45 at night after all the other barges have been removed from the lagoon. They have to burnoff the extra fuel before bringing it into the maintanance bay behind China. They may just push the burnoff time to after 11:00 to have it be a closing effect to the EMH.

Actually, this is something they plan to do for the month of April. They are going to do a trial run during EMH to see how guests react to it and if its worth it or not. Needless to say the strategy is to keep guests in the park longer, and only guests who stay on property and are eligible for EMH will be told about the extra display. There shouldn't be a problem with reloading the show, as they do it for New Years without a hitch. Its not the easiest thing in the world, but the show can be completely reloaded in a couple hours.

Additional IllumiNations Performance during April 2007 Extra Magic Hours

As an additional way to delight our Guests, a second IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth will be added at 11:30 pm during Epcot's Evening Extra Magic Hours for the month of April. This benefit for Disney Resort Guests visiting the park on these nights can make the most of their time by dining, shopping or riding attractions and then catch the special 11:30 pm show. The regular Day Guest experience of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth will continue as normal every evening at 9:00 pm

I do not know how they would go about refueling the Inferno Barge out on the water. They must have to take it in to the bay.
Doesn't the inferno barge have a larger capacity than what they need for a single show? I could be completely wrong, but it might have enough to do both shows without even needing to be refilled.

The show uses aboyt 300 gallons of LP. The excess amount is burned off before it is returned to the bay leading me to think that it does not have a 2 show capacity.
I could be wrong though.
