Hello from WDW.

Hello All,

I arrived at WDW on Tuesday and thought i make a quick post of my findings, so far the crowd levels seem pretty low compare to my usual July visits, I did all the mountains at MK by noon after arriving at opening. Splash was great all AA's were working well and got pretty wet on the drop and it was pretty cold morning but thats how it goes.(It was also the first log of the day.) Then onto BTMRR which was gret as usual. Over to Tomorrowland and a FP for SM, a quick chat with PUSH and a ride on the TTA and COP all of which are still great,Monsters Inc. was experiencing Tech. issues so didn't go on yet, went on SM which seemed kinda jerky this time.We then went back to POC but it was a 40 min line and it was starting to rain so we headed to Caseys for a HotDog and then left for MGM by 1:00. 1:30 MGM all was well did Voyage of the mermaid featuring a really energetic Ariel great show ,also did magic of animation and the GMR where the driver made a few mistakes in his script but it was fun nonetheless, headed over to see Fantasmic! but it was standing room only at 8:00 so gave up and headed to EPCOT for Illuminations which was good. Today we did EPCOT and the kids play area near the roses ,the cedar trees hiding it was blown over and it is still being built but looks good .Soarin had a 70 min lineup so we took a FP at 9:30 and had to go back at 1:00 - 2:00 and still waited 20 mins to get on with the FP return line rerouted through the exit line. The Soarin' screen seemed to have a lot of black spots on it now compare to last July , I hope they clean the film soon.Which brings me to now and this post.Sorry it is long just thought i'd fill everyone in on the latest.I'll try and post again tomorrow.?Have a Magical Day!

We found the crowd levels to be fairly low last week too. We were on CoP this past Thursday and it failed to advance after the first scene and we ended up sitting there thru 2 rotations. Thats the first time I've ever encountered a problem there.

MK tonight.

Quick note that POTC was down from apr. 3:30 - 8:45 pm tonight due to technical difficullties. Pretty big crowd for wishes and SM parade.

I wonder if the 40 minute wait time for POTC during a period of typically low attendance is a spike related to the recently released trailer? If so, I also wonder if this ride is going to get longer and longer lines as more about the film is released...

For those who haven't seen the trailer, check it out on yahoo: http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/piratesofthecaribbeanatworldsend.html

Isn't the ride still enjoying increased attendance due to the rehab? I would hope so.

Yes, Pirates attendance is up a good amount since the REFURB. (Its not a rehab, the ride isn't Britney Spears)

Couple that with attendance being up across the board and you get 40 minute waits for Pirates. I doubt the trailer has anything to do with it.

Happens pretty commonly.

Have fun!

My little brother is on his senior trip. I'm very jealous, so I called him once today to find out what he was up to. He said the park attendance wasn't bad at all.

The 144 days till my trip can't come quick enough.

I drove over to Animal Kingdom and Epcot for a little while today. The lines at AK were pretty short too, compared to last week anyway. We waited about 20 minutes for Kali, 10 or less for Dinosaur, and about 40 minutes for Everest.

We hardly did anything at Epcot, but we waited for about 10-15 minutes for Maelstrom.

How much longer is Spring Break anyway?

Was the hopping Brer Rabbit working? I haven't seen it working since the rehab. Hanging Bear wasn't working for over a month but last time I rode it he was working again.

The lines were pretty bad last week. Splash had a 70 and Space had a 120 minute wait. 40 minutes has been about normal for PotC lately. I wish Spring Break season would end so we can have a few weeks of less tourists.

I hope you're having a great time!!

Question: Have the leaping waters in Splash Mountain been working? I haven't seen them work in literally years...has it ever been fixed?

When I was there the other day they were off, but I think that's connected to whatever turns on the splash out front, which was also off because it was kind of chilly out.

But the week before, the leaping water was up and running each time I was on it.

Yeah, except when the splash is off outside. I hate that splash. I don't remember it until after the rehab for some reason. I usually just go in December though so maybe they have it off because of the cold. Now that I live here maybe I am just seeing it in normal form.
