Conceirge Level ADR's Needed?

Years ago, when you stayed at a concierge level Resort room, the Concierge Castmembers made all your lunch/dinner reservations if you asked them to.

My question is, do you have to make your own ADR prior to your arrival or can Concierge castmembers still do there magic and get you in?

After all...isn't that why people pay all that money for Concierge level rooms?

Has anyone recently stayed in a Concierge level room that could answer this question for me?

No
Concierge can only get you ADRs if they're available. There is no special pool of tables held back for Concierge [or anybody else].

Have you stayed at Conceirge level recently and ASK, or is this just an assumption on your part?
I'm thinking perhaps they can bump someone if they want to.
After all, that IS what they are there for.
I guess I'll find out for sure when I go in May.;)

I can confirm that all table availability loaded into our Dine Reservation System is the same, regardless of who is accessing it. Concierges does not have the ability to create tables when a location is sold out.

Doesn't seem like you'll need any more confirmation, but yeah, they can only give you what's available to anybody else. We stay concierge at the poly every trip, so I know from personal experience, too.

Although, I have not stayed in the concierge level of any Disney resort, my upcoming trip is on the Platinum plan. With the Platinum plan, you get to work with the Concierge to plan your trip. When I first booked my trip, I asked if I should just wait until 100 days out (when concierge was suppose to call) for my ADR's and other ressies. I was told not to, since ADR's could be made 180 days in advance now, they could possibly be filled before I spoke with Concierge. Thank goodness I didn't wait for them either. When they did call and also emailed me a transcript of the ADR's and other ressies I had already made, there were multiple mistakes. The lady was extremely nice, but made a lot of mistakes. I called the regular dining line after speaking with her and all of my ADR's were exactly as I had made them so the mistakes were on her end. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

I understand this, but in the past, I have had friends that were managers at Sit down Disney establishments that let me and my wife in without an ADR and with no waiting every time we went in and any time we went in. My question is, can a Conceirge Employee call ahead to a restaurant that I ask to dine at and say something like "Mister so and so, one of my Concierge guests, would like a table at your dining facility at such and such a time. Could you squeeze them in somewhere?"
This has nothing to do with the reservation system, it's just someone doing someone else a favor.

As I said...only someone who as actually TRIED to do this can answer my question accurately.

I don't doubt JP, but I am surprised at this. We've never had any trouble getting a table when using the concierge, even for same day dining. Of course we haven't stayed concierge since they went to ADR from PS, so maybe things have changed.

No they cannot. JP is correct. AKL concierge has consistently told me the same thing. In fact, this is my only complaint about concierge; they get in touch with you past the 180 start so if you wait you are behind already. Not a big problem for us because we use Kingdom Konsultants and let them get up at 6 am and make the calls for us  .

I think some of the confusion between Disney Concierge services and realworld concierge may be why you see it being called club level on the Disney web site.

Well, with the new dining plan, the free dining plan and the increase in attendance levels this is becoming more of a risk to take. If you wait past the 180 days out you take the chance that you will not be eating where you desire to.

Maybe that's the difference... our parties are never any smaller than 8 people. :lookaroun :o Two would be much easier to call a favor in about, I suppose.

Where are you planning on staying?

Two more days for me!! *runs around yelling like a moron*

Wait, I do that every day :lookaroun :o

It is not uncommon that last minute reservations can be made at popular sites. Cancellations happen, and if your timing is right you can get in. Because it seems a lot of Concierge requests are made last minute, their apparent magic is more luck.
