POP Century to Epcot

We will be staying at pop at the end of April.

Can you walk from pop to epcot i have seen pix from pop and it does not look that far.

No, Pop Century is pretty much out in the middle of nowhere in terms of walking distance. You can walk to EPCOT from Boardwalk, Swan, and Dolphin, but that's about it.

I agree- it's definately too far to walk. There aren't even sidewalks on the roads you'd need to take. No such luck! You have to bus it for everything!

In general you can't walk to parks at WDW, except from the Contemporary to the Magic Kingdom and from the Boardwalk area hotels to EPCOT and MGM Studios.

You cannot walk from the Animal Kingdom Lodge to Animal Kingdom, for instance, although you would think that it's possible.

The shortest path would from POP through the Boardwalk to the World Showcase entrance. That trek is right at 2.5 miles or roughly a 1.25 hour walk.

So could you physically walk from POP to Epcot? Yes, but I would not recommend it especially since Disney transportation could have you there in far less than half the time.

a 1.25 hour walk? Do most people really walk at a 2 mile an hour clip? I would think most people could do 2 1/2 miles in under an hour. :shrug:

Either way, I think it might be a moot point. While there are unboubtedly roads that could take you from Pop to Boardwalk, I don't know if those roads have sidewalks. If they're main roads, it would possibly even be illegal to walk on them. And if there are side roads, if there aren't sidewalks, even on a cool day, it wouldn't be a pleasant walk, that's for sure.

Good rule of thumb, one of the reasons the Values are Values is because they aren't walking distance to ANYTHING. They save walking distance destinations as a perk for Deluxes and DVC Resorts.

Most of the averages I found ranged from 2 to 3 miles per hour. Since about 1/2 to 2/3 of the walk would be on grass I took the lower of the averages.

I normally walk at about 3 to 3.5 mph and judging by some of the people I seem to get behind 2 mph is almost being generous.
