EMH and days on your multi-day ticket

I just wanted to make sure of something before we go in April.

I had planned not to enter the parks at all on check in day or check out day. That will leave 6 days at the parks on a 10 day parkhopper with no expiration. So I will be coming home with 4 unused days to use on a future trip.

We check out on Monday April 30th and plan to do EMH at the Magic Kingdom on Sunday the 29th. I just wanted to make sure that when the clock strikes midnight, it's not gonna charge me admission for Monday and dock me one of my days, just for me to be there from midnight until whenever we leave. Can someone answer me that question? Thanks.

I can assure you as a lead at MK Main Entrance that the system will not take a day off until we hit the reboot button.

And when do you hit that button? Hypothetically speaking, if I were to wait until midnight to go into the Magic Kingdom for EMH, such that it is technically now Monday, would you have already hit the reboot button? Or would you wait until the park closes to hit that button?

I think I figured out the answer to my original question, though. I was concerned that if I went in at, say, 10 PM and stayed until 1 AM, then I may have another day deducted since I am in the park now on Monday. However, the thought occured to me that when I put my pass in the scanner, it was still Sunday and, beyond that, it would have no way of knowing if I was in there for half an hour or three hours. So it could not possibly deduct a day off if I was in there until past midnight.

The computer only cares when you enter, as you mentioned, it has no idea when you - specificly - leave.

And for days, any "period" when the operating hours are continuous is just a single park day. If EMH went until 3am, you could still enter at 1am, heck even 2:59am It wont reset until after the park closes.
