taping or taking pics of the same things..every visit?

Ok I was watching old vacation videos that we had taken over the past 10 yrs going to disney , and I found that almost every time we've gone I've taped spectromagic , wishes or then it was fantasy in the sky, and Illuminations...Does anyone find themselves doing this??? Imean sometimes you have to tape a newer version , such as when illumination did for the 25th anniversary (not epcots of course ,then in 1996 ,heaven forbid they actually do celebrate it, yeah I do know that there is another thread about that) or for different events such as christmas and such....don't know came to me the other day, that and the fact that my husband will say" you're taping that or taking a picture of that again"?....ohh forgot too...parades or castle showes....we do have the 25th magical moments parade ....ohhhh loved that one...."Do you remember the Magic"?.....

I've recorded Fantasmic on each visit and Beauty & The Beast on most of them. Its strange to watch the earlier recordings and see how much the presentation has changed over the years

I've taped Spectromagic, Wishes, and Illuminations several times. However, these were done consciously, because I'm still trying to get that one "perfect" coverage. I think I may have it for Wishes and Spectromagic, but I don't think I have it yet for Illuminations since it is THE most difficult one to tape if one uses a fixed angle shot. I'm still not happy with the ones I have and uploaded.

On our next trip, we plan to shoot Illuminations with 2 different camcorders - one with a close up shot for the globe and the water fountains, the other for the wide-angle fireworks shot - to try and capture as much as we can.

I think i do it because the chance of being able to catch a candid moment that happens once in a lifetime, cause I tape a lot of stuff and dont watch it just because nothing out of the ordinary happens

There is a pole in England where my family sits at every year and takes a picture... we call it the "Cole Pole"

I take pictures of the same things every time I go. But I love to compare the photos, remember the time of day each was taken, and consider the different angles and shadows. I'm kind of a picture nerd.

Plus, my photo album for each trip would be incomplete without photos of the castle or SSE.

I'm normally the picture taker of the family and find that, generally, I take the same picture from different points of view. However, we can only afford to go every 5-7 years, so the shots show a changing atmosphere.

I generally take the same pics.. I feel sometimes a new one might turn out better, and also i just get so amazed being there i wanna snap a picture of everything

Theres one thing I do know i have taken a photo of every time ive been to disney since 1993, thats the living seas entrance sign. I dont have it from my 2005 or 2006 photos sicne it was walled off, but I have a photo of teh wall.

I LOVED that parade! I have the MP3 on my computer and listen to it all the time. In fact I put it as my screen saver music so whenever my screen saver goes on I hear "It's time to remember the magic!". I think it's the best one they've done in a long long time.

We always came home with pictures of the same things, and with a digital camera it just gets out of control, so we've essentially stopped taking pics of random things, UNLESS one of us (or both of us) is in the picture.

Otherwise, we have a bunch of pictures of rides, parades, etc which are neat to see, but not photo album worthy! I find this cuts down on the number of photos, otherwise you come back from a trip with hundreds of photos that you don't know what to do with!
