Why is the Disneyworld site down?

I *think* they are doing a major rehab on it? I read somewhere, possibly a thread on here, that said something that they are enhancing it big time with lots of new features. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Is it the Magic is Loading screen? Sometimes mine loads quickly (5 seconds or so) and others it takes longer...I just tried again and got right in.

Bob Iger showed a preview of the new Disney.com on the 8th. It doesn't premier for the public until later this month. I could be wrong, but any outage it had was likely due to traffic or simple downtime.

I tried to book online yesterday (Tuesday) and it was down. Went through CRO and they were having problems also. I do like the new site though.

I went to disney.com and I still get the old version with the islands. The middle of the place, whatever it's supposed to be has a sign that says "Look for the new disney.com, coming soon!"

And about that link earlier in this thread... hasn't the YOAMD website been like that for a while??:confused:

Not the one Bob Iger was talking about. The one that is being newly designed is the Disney.com page (not DisneyParks). It will have an all new look with new features such as Disney Xtreme Digital, a myspace-type feature that is kid-friendly along with other items. DisneyWorld.com appears to be the same it has been for quite awhile (minus the character on the left). The DisneyParks webpage may be updated, but it is not the same as the one Iger previewed on the 8th (or would effect whether DisneyWorld.com is up and running). Unless of course we are talking about different websites. :)

The main page will come up but you cannot log in to My disney vacation. I have tried for three days now to pay my final payment on my trip. They can't take it over the phone either....Frustrating!

I found that about the "My Disney Vacation" being down today when I tried to check my reservation. I just get the "site busy" message.
