*~*~* MJ's Chatter Boxes *~*~*

Hey everyone!!

I am really really tired today...I am running on about 4 hours of sleep after helping out another store for the past two days. I left the store last night at 1:30 and then had an hour drive home and had to get up for an 8am meeting at my own store this morning.

Now I am going to spend the day relaxing and getting ready for my birthday dinner tonight :D I told DH that I wasn't sure if I wanted to go out tonight or not because spending the day in my sweatpants and just relaxing sounds like a great plan to me......but I am definetly up for getting some dessert or ice cream :slurp:

I need to finally go open a new checking account here in NY instead of still attempting to use my old one from home...then I plan on coming back here to take a nice long nap. I'll be back later this afternoon!

Hi guys! I had my house inspection today. It went relatively well. There are a few things that are important for me to fix...such as part of the plumbing stack in the basement, some broken windows, the wiring needs to be changed on some of the breakers, etc.

Then there were some not so important things...like painting, cleaning the carpets, painting the rust off the air conditioning box, etc.

In all, there's not a lot I wasn't planning on doing...but I don't like being told that I need to paint and put down new carpet within a specific time limit. (I have 4 months.) If I want to do those things, I should want to do them on my own time. (Which I would have likely done in those 4 months...but still...it's all about principles!)

It would drive me NUTS to be told I have to paint, do carpet, etc. by someone else. I mean it's my house, not theirs. I am so anti-establishment about some things. That kind of rule makes me want to go buy some kind of tacky yard ornament just to raise a few eyebrows !
At least there weren't too many major things that need doing. I hope you'll close soon and make this house truly your home!

Yay! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:
Congratulations to Uncle Freddy and the whole family!
Details please!
Thank you!
My mom stayed over at my sissy's house (left here at 9:30PM) and my sister left for the hospital at 2AM.
Gave birth, with help from an epidural, at 6:15AM.
I'll be going over in a bit to see them at the hospital. :sohappy:
Of course my mom's cell phone goes right to voicemail.
Yay Uncle Freddy!

I thought this was supposed to be a girl?

Name???
YAY!
Nope, she didn't know what it was going to be.
Name is Eric Alexander.
(His sister is Laura Elizabeth.)

Well said Jenny!
Weird laws you have there, Nibbs! I can't believe they can tell you to replace your carpeting. What if it wasn't in your budget?
But anyway, as Jenny said, I hope everything else goes smoothly and that the house soon starts to feel like home!
