If it's a comfort to her, who's it hurting?
She'll give it up again when she's ready. No need to rush her.

My doctor wanted her completely off the bottle by 12 mos. :o She was off it at 11 months and then started waking up at night once or twice so I let her have it again. Now she's sleeping 12-14 hours again, and only wakes up usually once or twice a week. So... I've been kind of slack about that. But i figure with everything that's been going on, plus our move in a couple of weeks... it's a good security for her. *shrugs* lol oh well.

Guilty of never having the shot either....Dave always does, but there's just something about injecting viruses into me that I just can't handle.....

If you've never had the flu, maybe you're just naturally resistant to it. I don't know if that's possible, but it seems to me that some people just don't get it. Me, if it's out there I pick it up. I don't want to be that sick again. So I get the shot!

If that's her security, there's certainly nothing wrong with it. She's had a lot of adjusting to do these past few months. She'll give it up eventually if you don't make an issue about it.

That's kind of what I figure. She's completely on sippy's during the day. It's just before she goes to sleep we still do a bottle. It mellows her out and she sleeps better.. so I'm not pushing her. lol

That's smart then. Better safe than sorry that's for sure! I hate being sick, but I've never had the flu I just get sinus stuff. Is there a shot for sinus stuff? ;)

I don't see the need to rush it. As long as it's not sugar in there, she's not hurting anything.

My kids were both off it by 12 months, but I never really pushed the issue with them - they just seemed ready and were doing fine with sippy cups. when she's ready, you'll know - you're a mom!

Actually I've had mild cases of it, and I know it can be quite serious - just not a fan of shots i guess....

Nope. Only milk goes in the bottle (or water) Although millk does have natural sugars... but no juices or anything.

Yeah, she weened herself at 11 months. but when all the drama started she needed a nightime security and that was what she gravitated towards. So, i let it slide.

Ok ladies. I'm going to make Liz and I some eggs for breakfast and then head off to work. I'll catch up with y'all later!

Good talking to you girls!
