I had sent an e-mail (at the suggestion of the manager at POR) about the difficulties we had at check-in, so Saturday I got a response. The lady was quite understanding, and apologized several times. That was all I wanted - an admission that they clearly lied to us and an apology (but lifetime passes would have been good too  ). Anyway, I was impressed that they responded that quickly.

Nice to get a well-deserved apology!
Would have been nice if she threw in a meal voucher or something of the sort.

I'm shocked they respoded at all. Huh. Glad to head customer service isn't dead.

I know - a meal voucher would have been nice. They did that for us once when housekeeping had not cleaned our coffeepot the day before we were leaving. We didn't discover it til we went to make coffee in the morning, and there was no coffee, and a dirty pot. We mentioned it at check-out, and they gave us a voucher for breakfast at Boatwright's!:)

When they have it within their power to do something like that, I really don't understand why they don't!
If a dirty coffee pot is good for a free breakfast, surely a check-in snafu like the one you experienced is worthy of the same.
Maybe you'll get something in the mail! :)

Any news yet Betty?
No word yet, and since today's a holiday, I won't hear today either. I called Friday and only got their voice amil.
I know that all the state testing is going on these 2 weeks, so they might be caught up with that. I'm getting pretty tired of living without a paycheck though....
