And anyone else that wants to try I guess.... as long as you are 16 or 17 with an adult or 18 or older. It was pretty cool. I think they are just trying to get more people to do the training tour in the mornings at Epcot. Pretty cool how they work once you get on one thought.

Oh and make sure you adjust the handel bars to your comfort.... kinda hard to do things when your arms have to be fully extended

I'm booked on the two hour tour next Wednesday. Can't wait to try one of those things out. What a good wifey to pay for it too!

If you notice, they have older cast members who demonstrate the Segways. An old theatre friend of mine does it down there as well. Her name is Jo and has long white hair. Do you know why they use older people? Because they want to show guests that anyone can do it. Having younger CMs demonstrating the Segways would tend guests to believe that they are geared for younger people. But it isn't true. In fact Jo is now in Paris doing a Segway tour of the city!

How fast do the segways go? I was thinking about booking a tour when we go in March. I am nervous about it, I am not that good at some things. I am not that old, but I am not real sporty. I don't know how to put it. My kids want me to do it, and I would like to be brave enough to try. I don't want to be on the sidelines watching my family have fun. Or it could be they just want me to go so they look good!

Nice pictures of the segway.

If you can walk, you can ride a Segway. They're very intuitive. In Walt Disney World, the Segways guests use are using the slowest 'key,' so they don't move very quickly at all. The fastest they're capable of moving is about 12 MPH, as I recall.

As you're as tall as the guy (yoop??) on the photo, it'll be very hard to ride the Segway correctly...

The "steering wheel" should be at least as high as your belly button..

The steering column is adjustable, so it ought to be okay for most riders. It's hard to tell how tell Yoop is, but I've seen plenty of tall folks ride them. I'm 5' 10" and have no trouble with it at all.

DH is 6'4' and he had no problem with it last spring.

I've done the 2-hour outdoor tour twice - and it was so much fun that I'd do it again in a second!

Where is the indoor Segwag demo? Innoventions East or West?

Yes that picture is of me. I am 6'5 but the CM said the handle bar was adjustable. As for the speed.... I think he said it would run at 12.5 mph for about 10 miles. But at Epcot they have them goverened at 9mph for safty reasons

I didn't know it was there until that day. We found the Segway ride and the complimentart pictures with characters for Disney Visa Members. So we did that too. Bad thing was that Donald wouldn't leave my lady alone. Kept blowing kisses and got down on one knee and then kept hugging her. Was cute at first but then got kind of annoying.
