Autographs for the kids...

I was looking through the autograph books and photo books for each of my kids from our December 2005 trip. I was thinking how much better it would be if the autographs were with the pictures in the photo book. We're heading back down on the 26th of this month and I was wondering if anyone has found the perfect autograph/photo book combination. And, if so...what is it?

I'd like to have the autograph and then the picture of the child with the character on the same page rather than having two separate books. Let me know if anyone has worked out the 'perfect autograph and photo' keepsake system.

I was at WDW last X-mas (2005) with my family and I'm pretty sure we saw autograph/photo albums for sale. We were on a rather tight budget and got just the autograph book. We made sure that the autographs were never on the same page and we pasted the picson the page opposite of the signatures. I hope I helped. Oh hey, another thing you can do is find an autograph book at the dollar store, get your autographs and photos, then get a scrap book and put the autographs with the photos in the scrap book. On our 5 trips to WDW since our DD was born, we have always collected the autographs on colored index cards that we kept in a small binder. The cards being 4X6 can then be easily removed and place in an ordinary photo album with the photos....................

But they do sell auto/photo books there, at least with a princess design.

I think alot of people make their own scrapbook by having the characters sign a 3x5 card. Then they put the picture and the card they signed on a page. The photo/auto books they sell at the parks don't have much room to put that many characters in them.

They do have autograph books with a place for the pictures now. My DD got one in April.

I did this for my son too! We took the pics after his autograph with each character, and then when I got home, I printed the pics out and pasted them on the page opposite the autograph. He still looks at the autograph book from time to time!

I just bought the regular autograph book from the park. (I think its around $6)

Hey, another cheap souvenier my son loves is the squished pennies. You can buy the album almost anywhere. There aren't too many keepsakes available at WDW for fifty one cents! I go to the bank and get a roll of quarters and a roll of pennies before we go on vacation.

Do they sell these autograph books/with a spot for pics only at the parks or can they be picked up at resort gift shops? Also, do you remember what you paid?
We're also doing the pressed penny thing. My husband's Disney obsession is showing - he's got a list and the pennies/quarters all ready to go! :lol: :lol: He's been pretty low key about our vacation up to now, but that's changing.

We got it at MK, but we stayed at Shades of Green, so I'm not sure if they sell them at "official"Disney resort gift shops. I can't remember how much it costs...if my daughter wants it, my husband buys it.

not sure how effective this is (since I have yet to try it!) but, I babysit for two littler girls (5 and 4) who are going to go to WDW in January, and I 'made' a coloring book for them so that they can color pics of Disney characters and have the characters sign. All I did was google pics of certain characters (in the search button I typed "mickey mouse+coloring page") and put those pictures in a Mircrosoft word and then print them out. The downside? When I had characters from about every Disney Animated Movie that you can see in the parks w/ a title page for a movie...it was around 76 pages! :hammer:Then I downsized it and got the book down to a managable 32 pages (by taking out title pages and some characters...)

This year we are taking pictures from last year and having the characters autograph them. Most of the pictures are of the characters with our grandson just after they had signed his autograph book. He wanted autograph pictures so wa-la!

By the way, I printed the picture, glued it onto a heavy cardstock, punched holes in the side and made a little book so it will be easy for him to keep up with. We bought a pen at Office Depot that hooks on to the book and it has a cord that pulls out and retracts without unhooking it. It's pretty cool!

This was mentioned before, so we are using it when we go in Nov. when our niece and nephew will be there, get a new pillow case and a marker that will not wash out, and have the characters sign the case, since it won't wash out you have a keepsake that will last a very long time. Their parents like the idea very much and the best part is it's very easy to carry. It's just and idea for you to consider, 55 days and counting till our 3rd visit this year.... NOT SOON ENOUGH!!!
