Best Place to Get Ice Cream at the Magic Kingdom

That is a really tough one. But, I think I may have to agree on the cookie sandwich at the Bakery (one sugar, one double chocolate chip when they have them). But, the Mickey sandwiches, Plaza parlor, and Aloha Isle all rank right in underneath. The clear answer is not to eat for a week and hit up every one of 'em (especially after the Double Bacon Cheeseburger meal at Pecos Bill with the mushrooms - it's almost as if I did this last week or something :lookaroun )

While I do LOVE Mickey Premium Bars, my other favorite is a strawberry swirl from Enchanted Grove in Fantasyland. That's where all of my snack credits will be going!

I've got to go with the Citrus Swirl at the Sunshine Tree Terrace. It's a fav from childhood. I guess I should try a Dole Whip when I'm there next.

I have to go with the Doles Whip at Aloha Isle, AND The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, AND Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies.

I could really go for a dole whip right about now... :(:slurp:

I've never actually had a dole whip...

*hides under desk to avoid backlash from Dole whip fans*

...so I guess I will have to vote for the ice cream cookie sandwiches, eaten while watching everyone on Main Street of course :slurp:

Yeah - someone please tell us what Dole Whips are!! You are all flipping out about them so they have got to be good... I might try one when I'm there in Oct. :slurp:

Also, can someone please tell me more about the make your own Ice Cream Sandwich? Do you get to pick your cookies and the type of Ice Cream? Is it only available at the Main Street Bakery?

Thanks,
Amanda

Since no one has fielded these

Dole Whips are a sort of pineapple soft-serve. It sounds odd, but they are really great. It's sort of the key lime pie effect of tart and sweet combined. They also have vanilla and chocolate. You can get them as a float over pineapple juice, too. These are served at the Aloha Isle, which is a shop just a bit inside of Adventureland to the right across from Swiss Family Robinson.

The Sandwiches are at the Toll House Bakery on Main St. You get to pick the type of cookies (they have about 4 types at a time, and you can get both the same or one and one). They only have vanilla ice cream, but it is the true kids fantasy. Two large cookies with scoops of ice cream between pressed together.

And I have to say the citrus swirls are right up there, too. It depends on the day whether I like the dole whip or citrus swirl better. I just love the number of great treats the Magic Kingdom has.
