But ya gotta admit, that double legged Logan tower is pretty iconic and sexy.
It’s the New England version of Tron’s ‘Recognizers’…and that’s cool too!

Oh my gosh, there it is! Exactly like it was 30+ years ago.
I told you about that time I got stuck at Logan circa 1989 trying to check in for an important business flight while
The New Kids On The Block were arriving and
every teenage girl from Revere Beach to Framingham to Braintree was there in the terminal screaming at the top of their lungs, right?
Ah, the memories of Logan Airport...
Excuse me, the WHAT???? Why was I only now made aware of this and not when it mattered a GREAT amount back in 95????
It was a thing. After being emotionally scarred by The New Kids On The Block and Boston Logan International Airport, I moved back to SoCal in '95 and got my first Disneyland Annual Passport. Why they were doing this Pog thing the same year Indiana Jones Adventure opened to great acclaim, I have no idea.
But it was definitely a thing.
Later that year, the area became the Toy Story Funhouse exhibit.
In DC, I highly recommend the Old Ebbitt Grill. Directly across the street from the treasury building and great food. Same sort of situation with politicians frequenting.
If you're up for a bar/lounge- when we were in town for the inauguration, we checked out Off the Record in the basement of the swanky Hay-Adams hotel. Great cozy setup that can either be quiet or a happening place depending on who is in town. They feature artwork/cartoons from a variety of artists and have them all over the walls and feature up-to-date cartoons on their coasters which are great to bring home.
If you want a tasty simple meal and if your stomach can handle it... head over to Ben's Chili Bowl... yum.
Thank you! I'm still curating my restaurant list actually, so this helps. I used to frequent The Capital Grille at South Coast Plaza regularly when I lived in OC, and I still go up from San Diego to meet friends there for dinner once or twice a year. I only knew of it from my time working in DC (actually charmless Tyson's Corner business parks), but I'm a huge fan of the place.
I'll look at your suggestions and put them on my list of potentials. I just want to go somewhere that I can see a Senator or a Representative canoodling with a summer intern in a corner banquette somewhere! My own Congressman, who is actually a lady, is a very nice but rather boring Mormon woman who I can't imagine has ever canoodled anywhere, much less in the corner banquette of a swanky steakhouse.
But I'd like to make a canoodling sighting happen.
250!
