Thank you for getting this thread back on track instead of endlessly complaining about the same thing.
The queue for the attraction has started that’s exciting to see.

Real talk, what are you trying to achieve?Oh, allow me to put it right "off track" again then.
Encanto is a bad fit for Disney's Animal Kingdom..
Real talk, what are you trying to achieve?
Any arguments have been repeated verbatim already. It's clear you're not going to change your mind. No one who thinks it does fit is going to change their mind. Disney is not going to change their mind. The project has the stamp of approval from Joe Rohde even though he has no real skin in the game here. Saying this is worthless, even less than worthless as it covers up any actual meaningful discussion.
I said “with the same budget”But we live in the real world with budgets, demand, and Joe Rohde no longer full time working at Imagineering.
No I do not think Joe would choose that. And yes I do think it would be more on theme and I’d be all for it.I will say this…. If given free range - do you think Joe would have plopped down a Disney IP carousel, an Encanto ride, and an Indy retheme and called it Tropical Americas?
Do you think what he would have created with the same budget would be better and more “on theme” with the park?
That being said…. I’m not 100% against this like I am with the riverboat and muppets. I don’t see Encanto being THAT off-theme. I’d certainly rather have that than more zootopia.
And an Encanto dark ride actually interests me - unlike door coaster or cars road rally.
Honestly with the same budget and expectations, I could see itI said “with the same budget”
I can’t control what others say on a message board so I guess I should never check it? HahaControl things that you can control and let others worry about those which you can’t.
As people have made very clear. They don’t see it your way.
A lot of the people who want this attraction, have wanted an Encanto attraction and more stuff for AK.
ou crying about how it doesn’t fit your idea of the theme when the creative genius of the park stated the actual theme that allows it to fit BEFORE Encanto as a movie even came out isn’t going to change that.
All it does is invalidate your opinion even more as you die on a hill that not only is too late to reverse but something a vast majority of people want. Families and Disney fans alike want an Encanto ride, Parks fans want DAK to have more dark rides and capacity. This is a marriage of those two in a way that fits wonderfully.
Yeah discussion threads are for discussion. You’re not here for discussion but whatever I can play it that way. That’s also why I’m allowed to discuss the barely relevant ramblings of someone parading as if they have this grand moral high ground.
You’re turning away from something that wasn’t even properly discussed in the hopes to brute force people to hate something they like? Why? I’ve never seen something so desperate and sad as a Disney parks
What do you want from people at this point in the process? Do something? Feel a particular way? Or just keep saying whether or not they agree with you?Im sorry but many in this thread have also made it clear that they DO see it my way. You’re choosing to ignore them.
So put an Encanto attraction somewhere it fits.m and give DAK things that fit organically and not just superficially.
Again, Joe stating he wanted a Tropical Americas land (which makes sense) doesn’t at all mean he agrees with an Encanto ride being put in it.
Again, what if I told you they could do both of these things in a way that suits DAK instead of just being a favorable bullletpoint to show the shareholders?
And you keep “brute-forcing” your opinion that everyone should just accept the Disney brand loyalist alignment and be happy that the aspects of the parks they loved are being removed.
You keep changing what I said -Honestly with the same budget and expectations, I could see it
What do you want from people at this point in the process? Do something? Feel a particular way? Or just keep saying whether or not they agree with you?
It’s not even that - Iger does not understand the parks at all.maybe Disney should be respecting the legacy and purpose of their parks instead of appeasing shareholders.
But how many times can say the same thing over and over?Im sorry but many in this thread have also made it clear that they DO see it my way. You’re choosing to ignore them.

the guy they keep bringing back to mentor Imagineers and give presentations and has a new book being published by Disney, about his Disney career, has no “skin in the game”?The project has the stamp of approval from Joe Rohde even though he has no real skin in the game here.
But how many times can say the same thing over and over?
It's like when Ian Malcom complained about how many dinosaurs there were on the dinosaur tour. Not nearly enough domestic cats. But how many times can say the same thing over and over?
