Noticing the parks are better upkept

Disneyland food used to be crazy good - it’s really taken a tumble the last few years for me.

Where did you have good meals?

I mean, it was my first trip since 2011 back to Disneyland … so I have little to compare, and first adult money trip ever to the resort 😂

Cafe Orleans
Tiana’s Palace
Lamp Light Lounge (the upper patio area)
Ronto’s Roasters
One of the places in Sanfransokyo …
Tiendita
Rancho Del Zocalo

Docking Bay 7, Skipper Canteen, Harambe Market, Woody’s Lunchbox, Regal Eagle, Tiffins Electric Umbrella, Connections Eatery, now even Woody’s Round-Up BBQ. Last 10 years have brought us a step up over the previous 10.

It gets even bigger when you factor in restaurants at Disney Springs like Morimoto Asia.

All significant improvements over the ABC Commissary, Peco’s Bill, and Cosmic Rays we used to get.

Universal is doing the same. Go to Epic and the food quality is leaps and bounds over their existing parks.

There is no restaurant called Tiffins Electric Umbrella, and the Electric Umbrella that used to be at Epcot is long gone.

But both Tiffins and Connections (formerly electric umbrella) are great examples of great food available at WDW
What about Connections is "great food"? The current menu:

Unless they have different and unique food sourcing, they have the same "raw material" as is available elsewhere around the resort.

Never said that they weren't, just pointing out what doesn't exist. Tiffins is a restaurant at AK but Tiffins Electric Umbrella is not a restaurant anywhere and Electric Umbrella is gone and not even close to what Connections can dish out. Maybe the AI hadn't been updated for his accuracy purposes.

The pizzas are made at connections - as are the desserts.

The salads are good quality in my experience- better than the “average” quick service.

I can’t speak for the sandwiches.

Have you eaten there?

You start to notice people who actually go to the parks from ones that don’t when you actually talk about how the experience is.

Disney has a lot of issues, but they absolutely have improved a lot too.

It is truly, a mixed bag.

I have. Remarkably unimpressed. None of the half dozen people I was with were impressed, either. Chicken, pizza, burger. Everyone’s opinion was - “Meh”.

What are you comparing it to? I certainly think it’s much better than Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bills.
Regal Eagle. Sunshine Seasons. Half of World Showcase.

I honestly couldn’t tell you the last time I’ve eaten at Pecos Bill’s. Maybe once or twice at Cosmic Rays in the last 4-5 years (granted, I haven’t visited as much since prices have gone looney). Otherwise we tend to avoid most QS at Magic. Still mourning the loss of the chicken pot pie at CHH. 😞

The food was a big miss for us back in 2023. Not a single memorable thing.

But I still crave all the food we ate at Disneyland CA in 2024... mmmm.
I was there October 2023.

I enjoyed Walt’s. The breakfast buffet at Sequoia was good - omelettes made to order, and a selection of both hot food and a continental spread. The resort lounges at Sequoia and Marvel had fairly extensive menus.
Steakhouse was okay. Wish I’d tried Pyms.

Indeed.

The thing is, you haven’t answered a single specific question about DLP, leading us all to the conclusion you haven’t visited.

Which is fine, many people here on the forum haven’t. Why not just say so? (Most of those posting on this thread have by the way, and also been to one or both of the US sites).
