I’m cautiously optimistic that despite the insertion of Encanto, TA will still keep AK thematically whole and the last park standing in WDW that adheres to its original theme.

Seems like a pretty stupid question, considering the Yeti hasn't moved in what...18 years?
The ride has been open for about 20 years, for 18 of them, the Yeti hasn't moved. It moved, inconsistently, at most for less than 10% of the time the ride has existed. Out of the number of people who have ridden Everest, only the smallest of minorities ever road it when the Yeti was moving. At this point, the Yeti isn't broken, that is just how the ride is.

Dinoland had a very detailed story about being a rural American Southwest town that became a hotspot for students and tourists alike because of the discovery of dinosaur bones and the Dino Institute. A problem it had compared to Africa and Asia is that it was intentionally meant to be kitsch and thrown together. If you didn't stop and really analyze the details while also knowing the context, it was easy to just come off as a bunch of random "stuff". Restaurant-osaurus actually did much of the heavy lifting for the backstory of the land. But the vast majority of visitors probably never looked closely at the story it was telling as they ate and just assumed none of it meant anything.
Comparatively, the average guest may not fully know what all of the thematic details in Africa and Asia mean, but it's clear that they're meant to be authentic and part of the larger worlds they are portraying.
Then you have the issue where a lot of guests thought of Dino-Rama as Dinoland, as it was the biggest, most open walkable space in it. But thematically, Dino-Rama was meant to be a supplement the story of Dinoland.
If they do Tropical Americas right and give it as much real life world-building and detail as Africa and Asia have, then yes this will be an improvement. Just, again, they should consider having the carousel and apparently an alleged archeological dig site(?) be free of IP to give it a little bit more legitimacy. IP Freely, if you will!

Yeah the carousel definitely didn’t need an IP tie in, but we do have the classic carousel at MK still.

This. Dinosaur and the rest of Dinoland were shadowed by Dino-Rama making people think it was the 'kiddie area' of the park. The areas that remained after Dino-Rama closed could have held their own as Dinoland, but what can you do now?

That seems to be the indication that I'm getting here, with people saying that Dinoland deserved to go and that Indiana Jones and Encanto Land will be a better fit for the park.

I think people are more saying that Tropical Americas has the potential to be a good fit for Animal Kingdom and that Dinoland USA fell short of the potential of a dinosaur-based land. I don't recall anyone saying that dinosaurs have no place in Animal Kingdom, though I might have missed that.
I will say, a land based on dinosaurs is hard to execute without either going the Dinoland or Jurassic Park route as just setting a land in the time when dinosaurs existed is almost impossible in a theme park setting. The same would seem to be true for a Lion King land as they're attempting in Paris, but that's for another thread.

The time has past for Dinosaurs, as they've existed in DAK ≠ Dinosaurs should never be in DAK.
