MK Piston Peak and Villains Land Construction Thread

That’s not what is described in the patent if you read it.

It actually describes both -- it specifically says it can be configured to rotate around an axis (i.e., a spinner) but could also be used for other things.

I think it's more likely to be the secondary attraction because I don't see them having what would almost have to be a visible arm attached to the main attraction for the entire ride, but who knows.

Donkey Kong says hello.

Also, yes, this wouldn't be great.

Donkey Kong is a little different -- it's just a short connection (as opposed to one potentially several feet long) and it's part of a coaster. I think it's a lot easier to hide there than it would be in the potential Piston Peak attraction, unless it ends up looking much different than the concept art.

Looks like Dumbo with an extender

Yeah, I think this is the secondary ride.

I assume it’s the secondary ride, and like I posted, this looks like a modern update of a classic flat ride, the kangaroo. The classic ride is extremely fun, carts travel in a circle attached to an arm with a shock absorber attached, but there is a ramp in one half of the ride track that then abruptly ends. The thrill comes at the end of the ramp, the car for a moment continues to accelerate upwards until free fall commences providing a pop of airtime every rotation, the shock then engages and the cart slowly floats back to the ground only to encounter the ramp again.

This would be an excellent addition for Disney, the ride (other than a kiddie version) is very rare, where it’s installed is still extremely popular and has a low height limit. This should prove to be as popular as Maters/A:SS/BH6 Baymax. Its following the exact formula that lead to that ride.

Yes, CURRENTLY. You are only using a small sample size whereas I’ve provided multiple backed reports. Please stop trying to make yourself look like you’re not.

You're good for comic relief, at least.

If it is the secondary ride in Piston Peak, it would potentially explain why we haven't seen any other concept art detailing this ride. It would (will?) also be nice to have two completely new ride concepts in this land.
Was thinking the same thing. If they were still developing the ride system and patent, they wouldn't intentionally and publiclly release concept art for it. If this permit is granted, then they might release some concept art at D23 this Summer?

Imagine that upsized to adult size. It’s incredibly fun.
I rode it with my kids a few years back at knottsberry. its cute, but to turn it into an all ages thing with full input control from the rider will be the deciding factor on making it reridable. and not just be a damn circle. spinners suck.

The one thing MK is really lacking is a Dumbo-like spinner
You joke, but Dumbo and Aladdin very frequently. Have a long wait times due to the fact that it takes a lot of time to load and unload those attractions. A third similar attraction would most likely help all three all around as it is very popular with the younger crowd.

I agree, a third clone would really help. Let’s put it in Tomorrowland and call it Astro Orbiter
