Lightning Lane Premier Pass

But earning enough money to choose for yourself how to spend it probably correlates more than a little.

Never ceases to amaze me…. People spend close to 1k a night on a “deluxe” hotel for what and get practically no “hate” but people who want to pay extra for after hours or a top tier true skip the line no questions asked are the villains and dumb ones. Ill never understand the logic.

Not saying it always does but saying wealthy people who can afford a product that actually serves a purpose are dumb to me is one of the dumbest takes in this site and thats saying a mouthful.
It’s a choice…opinions vary. Really it’s whether you’re purist or not…my take

So those people spending $1G on the room…that’s their second room? Or their third?…for the night?

The people doling out the hate have identified certain purchases/products they believe are detrimental to the way they would like the parks to operate.

Some make persuasive arguments; others label the people buying those products “unintelligent,” “selfish” or worse.

It must make them feel good about themselves because I guarantee no one purchasing these premium products is going to change because they’re afraid of being judged by some random guy on the internet.

"Tell the internet to make Disney do what I want." I personally developed this catch phrase, you are welcome.

But if they're controlling the amount of these Premier Passes that are available, isn't all of this discussion of supply, demand, and even price bupkis? It's all fake anyway.
Yes. They control supply and demand in the sense they control the total number of LLMPs available (as well as LL) and can also spur demand by tinkering with posted wait times or shifting ops to affect actual wait times.

Posters around here don’t hammer people for willingly staying in overpriced Deluxe rooms? Ummm…

I dont quite understand what you are saying about 2nd / 3rd room. Apologies.
Clarify and ill respond accordingly

All im saying is this. There are other options of where one can stay on property and by anyones standards Disneys hotels are far from deluxe and luxurious but people pay those prices and the “roi” is minimal. As opposed to say someone willing to pay this extra fee to be able to literally have a care free phone free day riding anything they want when they want to… and lets not forget majority doing this can easily afford it. I know a good amount of people who have used it and every one before and all said this was perfect. I have people who use to pay tour guides and i suggested this and they loved this vs the “tour guides” & plaids they have used before.

I stay in deluxes. I don’t buy Premier Pass. I have rented a plad. I don’t think either of these choices are a moral one. I just don’t understand the value proposition in the Premier Pass, you need it for 2-6 rides at each park. If the pass offered rerides I would be much more likely to purchase it, if it was reasonably priced (but it would never be reasonably priced.) WDW is one of the few places I don’t purchase these passes. I have a Fastlane+ all season add on on my Six Flags Pass, I purchase MLL at DLR everytime I’m there the whole day, I stay at Universal Hotels that give me free express. As long as I can do everything I want by rope dropping Early Entry I’m not going to bother with WDWs STL systems. They are too restrictive and too expensive.

As for why I value deluxe stays, early entry is important for me, evening early entry is valuable to me, quick transport to the parks are important for me. My two most visited parks are MK and Epcot, so I usually end up at whatever the cheapest monorail resort room is available (most of the time it’s a garden wing room at the Contemporary.)

You pay for the park and the rides with your daily ticket. Somewhere our brains went to sleep on this long ago…

So “i can’t tolerate lines”…just tells me that you’re not picking the right recreational spot. That’s what they have always been. Conceived, operated and design that way.

Some people want to pay 3 different ways…and get a free pass because they can’t process bright colors or crowds or have to pee on top of that! Frankly…it might be the wrong place?

That opens the gates to more chopping up what every buys and charging for the pieces separately. It affects everyone. Not just the “whales” who pay.

Why I care? Because it runs interference for them to not actually handle their crowds…instead shedding customers in favor of exploiting the vanity of others. My opinion…but I will never understand how that doesn’t peeeee everyone off?

I’m wondering when this WDW fan forum became a cheerleading echo chamber, with only certain people approving what opinions can be offered without “No bad talk allowed or you get the finger-wag!!!”.

If you want a site that’s exclusively “Disney is the bestest!!!1!!!” all day and all night with zero tolerance for dissenting opinions/thoughts, or want to talk down to people who have been visiting Disney parks LONGER THAN MANY HERE HAVE BEEN ALIVE, go start your own.

Critical thinking. It’s a good skill to have.

Now…

I have zero problem with plaids. Why? Because they don’t impact regular ride operations. LL and all its flavors does. Plaids aren’t having more than 700-800 guests in VIP groups, across all 4 parks, in a day, maybe up to 1000 if WDW has bumped up the available guides.

IMHO the Horse has long ago left the barn on paying for VIP treatment in almost every area of entertainment and travel. Concerts to cruise's to airlines to touring historical sites etc etc etc. You can pay to skip the line, sit in better seats, eat better food, meet the artist , private tour etc etc etc. Disney is very late to the party. Mountain out of a mole hill.

Many of those things involve limited supply…not the case in Orlando

But to be clear…I understand the why? I just don’t have to support/like it 😎

You act like Disney is unique in doing this when it comes to a true top tier skip the line system. No offense but they pretty much were the last to the party doing this when they could have capitalized on this a long time ago… they sent countless surveys out and knew what their guests were willing to pay and who was willing to pay it. It provides a direct positive impact on people experiences hence why people have boughten the product…. And yes im aware of the documentary but if you think lines magically disappear if you get rid of all of these services i have a bridge for sale that runs from Bklyn to SI…

Now the AH events i would agree with you as it takes away from the experience during as you said a price we paid already because it intentionally reduces hours (granted not daily) but to me park hours need to increase. Thats my biggest problem with them.

Companies only limit the supply based on demand. Airlines are growing the size of Business and Plus seats to make profits. This is one of the main reasons Delta and United are profitable and American isn't. American was late to the party for premium offerings. Coach isn't very profitable. There is some correlation to Disney and Universal
