Lightning Lane Premier Pass

What do you mean? Limiting the number of Premier Passes by making them more expensive would leave more return times for multi- and individual.
I mean cut down on return times for multi and individual passes so premier pass can still sell the same amount.
Limit the cheaper pass for the more expensive one.

The fact that they are doing the exact opposite means what?
We don't know that they are. For all we know, they sell the same amount each day regardless and on the busy days it sells out.

They have never released the numbers available. Everything thats posted doesn't have an agenda behind it.

We do know that increasing the price of an item generally makes it less attractive.

But if they're controlling the amount of these Premier Passes that are available, isn't all of this discussion of supply, demand, and even price bupkis? It's all fake anyway.
My impression is they keep the number of this thing low…to drive sales for the REGULAR day passes.

When people see this “sold out”…they immediate line up for the MP and ILLs.

Basic sales tactics.

A reminder: it’s a MASS MODEL…not a luxury boutique.

The beast must be fed

Yes and no. Technically they can decide how many of these to sell, but they’re ultimately constrained by total attraction capacity, which is fixed (at least in the short term. Long term they can, and absolutely should add more).

Realistically, they must reserve a certain share of that capacity for standby (to justify the price of park tickets/APs) and LLMP (to justify its price). Nobody is going to visit a park if the waits are always 3+ hours and nobody will buy LLMP if the good rides never have LL availability anyway.

So the LLPP scarcity isn’t completely artificial. It’s a necessity to allow for smooth park operation.
