Jurassic Park quote. Universal referencing Disney in the movie
Ha, not much of a joke in my opinion, but whatever. And in the context of that movie it made sense given its about running a Dino theme park. Also Universal did reference Disney in Back to the Future too, as I mentioned Dave wears a Mickey Mouse shirt which is an indirect reference to a family trip to Disneyland. They just didn't call out Disneyland directly during the scenes in 1955, as it wouldn't make sense in the context of the movie, as I mentioned in my post.

Just booked our second Disney Cruise for this September. Little stop gap trip to hold us over before next years WDW trip.🤞🏼 Just 4 nights and only stops in Ensenada. Planning on doing a couple days in SD before the cruise. Curious to check out the Disney Magic and see what all the die-hards love about the Magic class ships. Doesn't hurt that it's a pretty decent deal as far as Disney cruises go.

I originally had kind of wrote off the older ships (and any Mexico itinerary that I've done numerous times) as I felt that it would kind of feel like going backwards after cruising on the Dream in the Caribbean but apparently that is not the case in many ways. Also only having to drive down to SD, park my car and get on the ship sounds pretty convenient and relaxing. It'll be nice to check out a Magic class ship before they inevitably retire the Wonder and the Magic sooner than later.

Remember that big Measles outbreak at Disneyland in 2015? It's back! 🤪

Check your itineraries to see if you were at Goofy's Kitchen or either of the two parks on January 28th. But if you've had your MMR shot like you are supposed to, it's a non-issue.

An airplane passenger who was infected with measles passed through LAX’s Tom Bradley International Terminal on Jan. 26 after arriving on Viva Aerobus Flight 518 from Guadalajara, Mexico, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health said in a statement. People who were in Terminal B between 10:45 p.m. on Jan. 26 and 1 a.m. on Jan. 27 may have been exposed.

The Orange County Health Care Agency said the same individual later visited locations at the Disneyland Resort while infectious on Jan. 28. Potential exposure windows include Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., as well as Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park from 12:30 p.m. until closing.

The Lion King show at DLP is I think the best stage show I've seen in a Disney park, and I've seen many over the years

It is NOT a condensed version of the Broadway show, or another version the Animal Kingdom/HKDL show, or the puppet show WDW used to have...

It plays like one extended medley of LK music that also includes "Shadowlands" and "He Lives in You". It's costuming and staging are impressive not just by theme park standards. There's live percussion music and singing and the cast gives it their all. The way people cheered at the end was very much deserved and genuine.

Mickey and the Magician is also excellent and remains so 10 years after its debut

That DLP has 2 S-tier shows while DLR has nothing at all is outrageous.

I'm optimistic about Josh leading and Dana handling the entertainment side. Iger did well, but he has clearly passed his time.
