2026 Super Bowl QBs are going to have a NFL Top 5 Draft Pedigree as Drake May was a #3 overall pick, and will face Sam Darnold #3 Overall or Matt Stafford #1 overall...

Other Super Bowls with Top 5 Draft Pedigrees:

lll - Namath #1 vs. Morral #2 ... Namath was an AFL #1 Overall pick
L - Manning #1 vs Newton #1 ... 1st time #1 Overall faced another #1 Overall
LVl - Stafford #1 vs Burrow #1

Next closest...
XXl - Simms #7 vs Elway #1
XXXV - Dilfer #6 vs Collins #5

Darnold...from perceived bust to Superbowl QB! Go Seahawks from life long Bears fan!
I'd agree and would add he might be the very 1st perceived bust to start the SB!

Jim Plunkett might qualify here but calling him a bust would be way too strong. Many don't recall he was traded from New England to San Francisco BEFORE he landed in Oakland....

There have been a few journeyman types to start, but I'd don't recall one drafted that high, bouncing around, and then making it......and what does Minnesota have to say? What if Geno didn't want more than Seattle was offering? Darnold was Plan B for Seattle!
