Theme parks obviously aren’t super serious subject matter, but most wouldn’t be here if they didn’t want to seriously discuss them, get progress updates, help plan their trips, etc. Accuracy is an important component of the reason many come here. Also, no one is asking people to use super technical language, so I’ve no idea why “layman’s terms” are coming up; they’re just being asked to not say that the pace of work is accelerating since, as we’ve seen in the past, that leads directly to baseless speculation about early openings and subsequent disappointment.
Wait so posts on this thread are serious enough that you felt the need to tell people how they should/shouldn’t react to incorrect information, but posts here aren’t serious enough to correct incorrect information?
I didn't say it was okay to be misleading, but I can see the desire to dramatically take it there to habitually stir up drama that isn't there.
This is exactly my POV. Folks are taking this conversation way too seriously, in my opinion. To answer JMcMahonEsq's question, I don't think anyone is trying to tell anyone how to feel, but the point is worth making that on these forums, just like anywhere in the online space, the discretion is on the reader to take in the information and determine what to do with it. That said, it's typically pretty obvious what is general enthusiasm versus anything more than that.
I’m not misreading at all. I see how these posters behave in every thread they join, and the pattern becomes very clear once you notice it. They enjoy talking down to people, and make a habit of often doing so.
I don't see one aspect of this new area that is not tied to IP in some way. Also, I don't see how the new attractions relate to animals which is what I thought the theme of DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM was.
were getting an entire South American village without IP with a fountain, zero IP besides the rides which 1. is about mythical animals and 2. is about communicating with animals. It beats the MoanaZootopia idea and I think is the future of the park. A park about animals, nature, and conservation. Told thru disney stories now. which im fine with, esp given that this land makes more sense then zootopia and moana for this park
I understand your point but the things you describe are superficial to the attractions which are both IP-driven and really don't have much to do with animals. Also being less thematically intrusive than another idea does not make it less thematically intrusive. As with EPCOT and DHS before it DAK is on the road from being a themed experience to instill guests with a message to becoming just another billboard to shill Disney IP. No more unique or special than Universal or Six Flags.
There may have been a few here that said “wow things are ahead of pace” but I honestly think most people just enjoy this phase more than dirt being moved or the footers being poured.

It was literally only four pages ago that most pushed back against the narrative shown in the first panel too. For the millionth time, people are asking for accuracy, not negativity, and inaccurate negativity will get a similar response.
