"Big Thunder Mountain closed unexpectedly today due to an incident with the track. It’s unclear what the issue is."
Seems it wasn’t unexpectedly- they got a lot of flack for that. It was scheduled and times were published."Big Thunder Mountain closed unexpectedly today due to an incident with the track. It’s unclear what the issue is."

Yes, I was there and puzzled to see it was scheduled for an early close. Thankfully, I managed to ride on Friday as my attempt on Saturday ended up being frustrated as it broke down toward the end of the night. Space Mountain, which had just re-opened from a refurb, also had a difficult Saturday, going down in the morning and only opening up again in the evening. That was not ideal, as I think Saturday was the busiest I have ever seen the park, with the wait for Pirates even going up to 50 minutes at one point.Seems it wasn’t unexpectedly- they got a lot of flack for that. Very happy that they seem to be sticking to the spirit of Annette's and still cautiously optimistic about the Sequoia refurb. Having just stayed there last week, it is still my favourite DLRP hotel (honestly, the scale and atmosphere of it may place it among my favourite Disney resorts anywhere) but it also does feel like the guest rooms and corridors are due for a refurbishment.Mainly non DAW news and updates from this mornings presentation:

I have no deep knowledge on this issue but online I read via French translation that the ONET contract was up for renewal or ending. So it is possible they will be moving to a new contractor. And it was still going on into the evening. They really need to get a grip on this, especially since historically the companies don’t get on.
For what it’s worth we saw a similar strike in the same place in 2012. It’s not the first time.I have no deep knowledge on this issue but online I read via French translation that the ONET contract was up for renewal or ending. So it is possible they will be moving to a new contractor.
Does anyone know how the work is progressing at Davy Crockett on replacing the bungalows and when it's likely to be finished, as it doesn't look like this was mentioned?Mainly non DAW news and updates from this mornings presentation:

Edit:
The project to build a few security canopies in the longest time possible is almost finished:
