DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I don’t know about anyone else but whenever I complain on this site the goal is not to change anyone else’s mind. I’m stating what’s on MY mind, just like the positive people do.
People stating their own opinions and experiences is helpful to others. If the experiences are bad or less than what they were, it is what it is.

My comment was directed toward a handful of posters who call names, suggest people lack intelligence or mock them for enjoying Disney.

If the goal is to change people’s behavior it won’t work. If it’s just to make them feel bad - that’s a pretty sad goal.

Indeed! I wish I could go back and tell my 9 year old self that going to WDW would bring you great joy for approximately 10 years and then slowly break your heart over the next 10 and ultimately drive you to the point where you end up despising your former favorite place with every bone in your body and ultimately questioning your life itself.
I sincerely hope that is hyperbole. It's a theme park, not reality.

I say this with care — it might be really helpful to reach out to someone trained to support people through moments like this. I’m not an expert, but it seems like holding onto the past and letting what’s happening now at the parks affect you so deeply is really weighing on you. You don’t have to navigate that alone.

"We started to put up some steel beams! PARTY TIME!!!! 🥳🥳🎉🎉 Still opening in 2027!!"

If seeing some initial steel beams at a construction site that is still 13 (or more) months from opening makes you celebrate, you should probably take a long, hard look and reflect on your values and choices. Because sand does not taste good, no matter what a corporate Instagram account tells you.

I think celebrating progress is okay and normal. Get a grip man.

You do realize that the phrase "Opening in 2027" does not mean that it'll open in the beginning of that year right? TA could (and probably will) open in the summer or fall months of that year

Yup. "13 (or more) months from opening", per my comment. If I were the wagering type, I'd expect this to open in September 2027, so they get whatever juiced attendance they think will happen around this for the FY28 numbers.

The reality is there is real signs of construction to those that were tired of the dirt pile and the concrete footers.

You're a good poster, I don't get what you have to be a killjoy. Just let people enjoy it.
But those things were real works of construction…

It’s about what people see and perceive, but not really the project itself. So what’s the line? We’re certain to get people speculating about the project being sped up in near future because it’s easy to see changes with steel during erection. Is it just being a killjoy to point out that they shouldn’t get their hopes up?

If people get excited about progress, whether it’s a pile of new dirt, to a new steel beam, which to some represents the start of vertical construction- just don’t be a Debbie downer.
