so an immersive experience with dinosaurs- and the best overall dinosaur animatronics, should still be on the table!
Well I mean its definitely on the table considering the sorry state of River Adventure, but it's not something Disney wants to do because the overall popularity of a non-IP dino ride vs the IP of all time dino ride would be very stark

River Adventure is getting a Spider-man/Mummy major rehab project (not changing the story or the ride just massively upgrading the animatronics and effects to modern standards and get them working again) this year after the holidays. Come this time next year it will be at better then 1999 status.

That means it could go back to being the best ride at Universal! (other than maybe Ministry/Monsters, which I have not been on).

So, one year to construct everything for this land? All that rockwork and scenic work, new buildings etc....seems pretty unlikely that could all happen in a year unless they reduce the scale...It tiik them over a year to complete the frozen margarita stand out in front of the Mexico Pavilion...
and Disneyland built in one year...actual construction of Magic Kingdom 18 months...sigh

They really can’t. Even their fast isn’t all that fast because of how they are organized and work.
They can though. We've seen them do it. Extreme sluggishness is a choice they make. No, they can't get something up in the snap of a finger, but they can do better than what they have in the recent past. And I suspect they're going to do better than the recent past on this, because they're very incentivized to.
