Is that for all CM’s or just custodial?Same, if they are working hard to be the best they can and I don't have to wallow in other people's stank I really don't care and can take care of my own experience in my mind

I hope not tbhI can see a change coming for the WDW Dress Code for TMs. Universal has revised as of yesterday their dress policy to allow for a septum ring. They are also allowing "One unnatural hair color".
I will go a bit further as I have seen the policy guidelines for the changes:I can see a change coming for the WDW Dress Code for TMs. Universal has revised as of yesterday their dress policy to allow for a septum ring. They are also allowing "One unnatural hair color".
That’s not discrimination. In a country that always had serious issues with actual discrimination you really don’t want to use that word for someone who wants to have bright pink hair or a nose piercing.I respect wanting the best workers, and not discriminating based on appearance.
You don’t know why a person chose those mods. It may be a self-reclaiming act after a traumatic event. That’s not discrimination. That has nothing to do with the point that I made regarding the word discrimination. But I’m hoping you didn’t mean it as the actual definition of discrimination.Personally, a well-groomed person rocking an awesome hot pink hairdo is far more appealing than gelled hair![]()
Please see the part about why people sometimes choose mods. That has nothing to do with the point that I made regarding the word discrimination. But I’m hoping you didn’t mean it as the actual definition of discrimination.
In general, appearance does matter, it’s just where you choose to draw the line. That’s a decision that can be very tricky to make.
It’s not unlawful discrimination based on a protected class but discrimination can also mean treating similarly situated people unfairly without a legitimate reason. Some of our family hardware store’s smartest, most capable staff are tattooed, pierced, dyed-hair former food and bev veterans.
I respect wanting the best workers, and not discriminating based on appearance.
You can’t say “Disney is creating rides for younger generations, so stop complaining!” and then complain that body mods that younger peeps don’t have an issue with are game-changers
Especially as competition for the most competent workers ramps up.
Call me old-fashioned, but shouldn't good service be the priority? We’ve been told that CM comfort and ability to express themself is the new priority.
I agree that good service should be the priority.Call me old-fashioned, but shouldn't good service be the priority?
I understand times have changed, I also get 'comfort and some level of self expression'. Besides, from what I've seen, it must be somewhat difficult to find employees with a 'clean-cut look' these days.
These parks haven't been getting the caliber of talent they want to the last 6 or so years.IMHO, its a sign of a tight labor market at the price point Disney is willing to pay in Orlando.
30 years…actuallyThese parks haven't been getting the caliber of talent they want to the last 6 or so years.
But if they didn’t use polyester everyone would be complaining their clothes looked wrinkled.I think investing in 0% polyester attire would reap longterm benefits…but that’s just me
